It’s very nebulous. All the President’s Men is rated PG and they say fuck at least 3 times. Meanwhile, Psycho, which predates the rating system by 8 years and thus was made during the Hays Code of Standards has been retroactively rated R, even though it is the tamest movie you’ll ever see.

 

I remember being pumped to see my first R movie - little did I know that HARD PG-13's were an option.

Googled it and it said "parents strongly cautioned" - so it sounds about as abstract as it gets.

There were test screenings last night for a small group and apparently it was all good reviews. I'm sure we will get more info soon.

 

So about 10 minutes longer than Dark Knight Rises, and about five minutes under Endgame. Obviously it'll have a totally different tone and pace to Endgame, but I don't get why it's such a big deal that it's pushing 3 hours. A lot of big tentpole moves have been moving in that direction over the past several years.

 

Phenomenal.

The opening sounds almost like a spaghetti western. Then it shifts to something akin to old Hollywood. Then it becomes a great hero score before ending with the single driving note over and over. It's a great hook and will be awesome over the credits and at key moments in the movie

I really hope the movie has a long opening credits sequence that ends with the title and logo being revealed, all set to that track. Make it like the iconic Batman 89 opening.

They just don't make movie scores like that anymore. The last one i can remember that really committed to leitmotifs was the LOTR trilogy.

The new Flash movie is rumored to erase some of the DCEU and show us the multiverse. He’s thinking it brings The Batman into the fold. Like they will show us The Batman or mention it.

I believe The Batman will be a standalone property.

WB/DC looks to be going for more of a sandbox kind of universe, where some stories share a universe (Flash, Batgirl, Aquaman, etc), and others exist on their own, like The Batman and the Green Lantern series
