Does he attempt to use different scrub and equipment color combinations every week like he is on the #Oregon Ducks staff?
When I worked at Zappos >30% of the staff there had an unhealthy obsession with Disney. It was super weird.
Just got asked to do an assesment on my boss. I’m not a big fan of his as he tends to be an asshole. Not sure how to proceed with it.
Focus on behaviors, not rationale or intentions. Make it clean, crisp, and clinical with the overlying idea that his behaviora don’t impede your ability to get stuff done. If you start guessing at intentions, you’re fucked.
So yesterday my brother sent me a text with “Antonio Brown signs with the Kansas City Chiefs” with a link. I see it on my watch and say it out loud and my coworkers call bullshit and come over to me. I tell them he sent it with an espn link and they say to send it to them so I copy and text it to 2 of them then I click the link. It’s a fat black man with a huge dick. That I just sent to 2 coworkers that I’ve only worked with for 6 weeks. One of them runs around laughing and showing a bunch of other people. The other says gross and I apologize. So I’m most likely going to be fired when I go to work on Monday. And I found out my wife was pregnant when I got home.
Yeah I can’t click it on my watch and didn’t think about it because it was 1 in the afternoon. I will kill him if I ever see him again and told him as much
Yeah. Fuck it. It’s pretty funny and I hate the job anyways but he’s still a dead man if I ever see him just on principle
I’m in the big bathroom stall and some guy just triple checked that the door was locked before going to the regular size. Strange.
Suddenly every project status meeting is a "standup". In the past couple of weeks I've had three people from three different companies schedule standups when I've never heard the term before
We go over our jira board on webex for our standup. I’m good at keeping my tickets in the correct status but forgot this once. Our scrummaster - who is hovering over the ticket with their mouse - asks me to move it (takes literally 1 second to drag and drop). I say ok but don’t do it out of principle. She @‘s me later in slack in front of the whole channel again asking me to move the ticket. Classic jira standoff. I realize I’m kind of the asshole here but I’m pissed at her lazyness/seems like a power trip to me. It would have taken her less time to move the ticket than to ask me to do so.
i work for a private family owned company. managed by boomers that have a complete aversion to anything with technology. We can't even do Outlook meeting invites because half the people won't respond. One lady gets angry when I email her and don't call her to remind her to check her email.
Was awakened by my phone buzzing fucking non stop to email notifications. I had these silenced but maybe the phone update I ran yesterday defaulted them back on someone sent an email out about some sort of access to something to a distro list that apparently includes 36000 internal and external vendors. I turned my phone off not caring if I woke up. Woke up to 500+ responses of “TAKE ME OFF THIS LIST”... “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP RESPONDING TO ALL”... to VP’s threatening that action will be taken if people continue to reply to all. After taking a shower I get out and see I’ve gotten an additional 80+ responses
You know there is a button called "Ignore Conversation" in Outlook? Removes you from those types of threads
Had a smaller scale version of this happen to me on Friday, 100+ responses of ‘unsubscribe’ If I ran a company that had to do layoffs I’d sent out a mass email and can all the people that reply-all to it
