Also would appreciate it if the saints would do this signing just make it a year focused on giving Brees the MVP. 2 1500yrd receivers, a 800 yard TE, 1 800yard receiving RB and a bunch of other passcatchers. Could they do a 6000 yard 50 TD season if they really wanted to?
He'll be 41 next year. I don't think he's capable of such a season even with a stacked receiving corps. That's not to say he still wouldn't be really good, though.
he is averaging 300 yards per game pretty much exactly if you look at the 9 fuller games with a team that tries to be very balanced. In his peak years he had about 670 attempts. thatd already bring him at about 5300 without any added aggression in the playcalling
Brees arm went out last year and probably would’ve this year if he didn’t sit out with his thumb injury. If he actually had full arm strength and puts that pass anywhere near his receiver on the famous no-call last year, they probably get the PI call.
Brees has thrown for 375 yards in 13% of his career games and now past 40 you’re going to add a hothead like AB and he’s going to average 375 per game Sounds reasonable
Now the Saints thing was a "publicity stunt". OK, sure, a 13 win team preparing for a tough playoff run feels the need to bring this flop in because they have nothing better to do, like prep for a a playoff game? You got a shot, it didn't work.I think it's time for him to go away forever.
Juju is probably a full 180 in likeability from AB and he thinks thats a smart attack? Someone needs to get him into a facility quick.
is there more info on the handler guy that AB got linked up with right before he got out of Pittsburgh? i think Bill Simmons talked about it once or mentioned he was with him for the podcast that has never been released
