100% chance he’s about to say he’s on like team slim Jim and he’s announcing a bull shit marketing deal or something.
Raiders guys have been posting that him and his friends have been rocking raiders gear/colors and talking raiders stuff all day today.
So much raiders smoke. Has been for a while. Think the bills beat the raiders offer and now Gruden gets took
Well it would be something if the team that gave us a third for Martavis Bryant gave us less for antonio brown.
People said on the last one it was checks, which made sense. I admittedly have not seen anything today and only read quotes so I really don't know. Just what people who spent way too much time worrying about something like that said
He is actually under contract so I believe if he doesn't file for retirement they can fine him every day he doesn't show up.
Reports earlier that the raiders balked at the raise he wanted. Which just means Gruden needs more time to do it and end up giving him the money he could've just given to mack
How long until some other WR like Michael Thomas signs an extension and Brown demands another new deal?
I really like to mock Jon Gruden but I’d rather have AB and a 1st than Cooper and a 3rd and 5th. That said, the cost will obviously matter.
So 12 months ago the Steelers had the best WR and best RB in the league. Now they have an extra 3rd and 5th round draft pick, $19 million in dead cap and will get a 2020 3rd round comp pick? I’ll take it.
But at least they’ll have an old overrated QB who thinks he is better than he really is because he has had super talented teammates for his entire career and a coach who doesn’t have a backbone
I’m fine with this as well. Although I hope we bottom out two years from now and can get Trevor Lawrence, and if we’re bad enough for that it means we likely have fired Mike Tomlin, probably best possible scenario.
It absolutely is. It just proves he has no plan. Can't pay Mack but can pay Antonio? Everyone acting like he's trying to rebuild when he was clearly in win now mode last year with the moves he made, he just had no idea what he's doing and here it continues. He should be trying to rebuild but this isn't a move a rebuilding team makes.
This was my first reaction. Won’t pay an edge rusher but will pay a 30 year old WR? It’s like he didn’t learn anything from Tampa. Or maybe he regrets not paying Keenan McCardle?
I've been saying it all along but the reality is he really just has no clue what he's doing. Everyone attempts to read deeper into his motives, he is just incompetent
Am I to understand that the Raiders have three 1st round picks and the Steelers couldn't pry away one of them for Brown? Even if it meant sending a pick to the Raiders of lesser value? I don't follow the NFL but that sounds like a fleece job for the ages.
I don't see how trading for arguably the best WR in the league and giving up basically a 2nd rounder is a bad thing I'd say good for Oakland, in retrospect this deal would've looked great for the Colts but Ballard is dead set on doing things his way
