I just set one up the other day and it seems pretty cool. I wish you could elimate a conf entirely but you have to leave at least 4 in everyone but Independents where you gotta leave 1. It really mixes things up but I think it's pretty cool. And after 1 season I was very surprised at the way things turned out. Here's my breakdown: ACC North BC Maryland Rutgers Syracuse UConn Virginia VT (9-3, 8-1, Lost CCG) WV South Duke Louisville Miami (12-0, 9-0, Conf Champs) North Carolina NC State UCF USF WF Big 12 North Air Force Colorado Iowa State Oklahoma (11-1, 8-1, Conf Champ) Oklahoma State Missouri Northern Illinois SMU South Baylor Kansas Kansas State Texas Texas A&M Texas Tech TCU (10-2, 7-2, Lost CCG) Big Ten Legends Illinois Iowa Michigan Michigan State (9-3, 7-2, Conf Champ) Minnesota Nebraska Northwestern Wisconsin Leaders Cincinnati Indiana Navy Notre Dame (9-3, 6-3, Lost CCG) Ohio State Penn State Pittsburgh Purdue Pacific-12 North Boise State (11-1, 8-1, #1 in BCS after CCGs and I have no idea how, L to Oregon) BYU Nevada Oregon (10-2, 8-1, Conf Champ) Oregon State Utah Washington Washington State South Arizona Arizona State California Fresno State San Diego St Stanford UCLA USC (10-2, 7-2, Lost CCG) SEC East Clemson Florida Florida State Georgia Georgia Tech (9-3, 7-2, Conf Champ) South Carolina Tennessee Vanderbilt West Alabama (10-2, 7-2, Lost CCG) Auburn Arkansas Kentucky LSU Mississippi State Ole Miss Southern Miss Big East East Carolina Marshall Memphis Middle Tennessee Western Kentucky UAB Conference USA Louisiana Tech North Texas Rice Troy Tulsa UTEP Mid-American Akron Bowling Green Ball State Buffalo Kent State Miami (OH) Ohio Temple Toledo Mountain West Central Michigan Colorado State Eastern Michigan New Mexico New Mexico State Western Michigan Sun Belt Arkansas State Florida Atlantic Florida International Louisiana-Lafayette Louisiana-Monroe Tulane WAC Hawaii Idaho San Jose State UNLV Utah State Wyoming Independent Army As you can see I butchered almost every conf but it made things interesting in the BCS confs. Boise St & TCU had tough schedules and other teams like UCF, Houston, SMU, FS, Nev, etc who normally become dominant after a few seasons have to work a BCS calibler schedule instead of cakes walks every week. I wish I could combine the WAC and MWC and dissolve 1, same with the Big East and CUSA, and Sun Belt and MAC. But I have to keep at least 4 in each of those conferences. Anyone else done something like this? Thoughts on ways to maybe improve the conferences? I tried to keep key rivalries together and have protected rivalries on in all the confs and I believe rivals play every season. I know FSU and Miami played despite on being ACC and one being SEC, so I think the Auto scheduling takes rivalries as a precedent for non conf games. The worst part about this is the non conf schedule for the non BCS confs, they each played 2-3 FCS schoos, which was retarded.
I mixed it up a bit, no super conferences but I made all BCS conferences have 12 except 14 in the Big 10. I added Notre Dame and Miami OH. Put Colorado back in the BIg 12 with TCU and put BYU in the PAC 12. Big East has 12 teams but the additions suck. I added Houston, ECU, FAU, and FIU. (I like to play with shit programs and build them up and I was FAU, that's why they and FIU got in)
