I was offered the girls job at the high school I attended today. I love coaching and I would take it in a heart beat if it was the boys squad but I just dont know if I can handle girls.

Anyone have any experience with this?

    as someone who doesn't coach,

I would only take a girls job if it allowed me to quickly take a good boys job because the girls team was so good. I would assume they aren't that great though. if you think you can get the team to win enough games to get yourself noticed, then go ahead.

This is my problem is they are really really bad... they won their first league game in 10 years last year. They have some talent but its a smaller community so most of the girls only focus on their season when its hear and dont play year around. Only one of the girls even plays club.. so it would be a struggle.. anything over 5 wins would be considered a success

if u go down that path just make sure you stick to it. my HS coach was a guy that retired from coaching D1 girls and HS girls before that. he was just a douche in general and focused way too much on tactics for that level rather than doing what most teams do to win which is simply to get the ball at the feet of your best players. we were state runners-up my Jr. year and that coach left with this new guy coming in and he took the same team to a 4-12 record by forcing us to run plays and change formations to make adjustments instead of subbing and just telling us to go out and get the job done.
