Messing around on global poker, does the site not force a table window to the front of your PC when the action comes to you? Missed a couple hands because of this already.
Didn’t have a good session tonight. Played for about 4 hours. Amazing how one hand can determine the session. Really didn’t get much to play all day. I’m UTG and get pocket 5’s. Limp the $5 to see what happens. UTG+1 just sat down and didn’t get his chips out of the rack and makes it $10. MP calls and I call. Flop comes 3,5,7 rainbow. I’m first to act so I check my set. Raiser makes it $20. MP calls and I call. Turn is a 10. I decide there’s already enough in the pot for me so I jam. Raiser tanks for a couple months then calls. MP folds. I roll my set over and says I walked into that one, good hand, and flips over his aces. Spikes the case ace on the river. Just a gut punch. In for $900, out for $400. Was a weird session though as the table was pretty much dead. No one was really getting cards.
Not sure honestly. I havent grinded on it, just played one table at a time while watching a ballgame.
Back on ignition poker. Won a $75 + $7 ticket to the nightly thousandaire maker. $5k guarenteed. I have been on fire. 2500 starting stacks and I’ve been in first from the start. Currently at 21k with avg stacks at 4500. Only one other person is over 10k.
A little Friday night tournament up here in PA. Met up with NDfanPSUgrad. Hate to send him to the rails in his homwtown but I just might have to do it.
I got this Edit: Funny story.. tigr2ndbase tried to use his room key as his players card. Almost won the cash cage lady for the night.
Just had three all ins at the table. They flipped AA, KK, QQ. Big stacked flopped a Q. River was a K. Crazy hand.
66k. AK off Small blind at 600/1200. Guy leads out for 4500. I flat. BB shoves for 15k. Initial raiser shoves to 36k. I fold after tanking for a minute. BB had 55. Other guy had AQ. River is a Q. Good fold. Don’t think I’ll make that again.
I've been involved in a similar hand in a tourney. 4 way all in AA, AK, QQ and JJ. I folded after my 4bet on the button with AK
2 tables, 11 people left. Blinds at 2000/4000. I’m in the cutoff and shove with AK for 17k. NDfanPSUgrad shoves for 39k on the button with AJ. Big blind calls with 77. The 7’s hold and we’re both out on the same hand. Fun night except for the not making money part.
Good playing with you. Tough position for me there. Under the gun limped I think which I wanted to see a flop but figured I could isolate if I jam. Chip leader was sitting on at least 175k. Definitly didn’t want to see him call. Take care and safe travels.
We play at my place in the garage every Sunday night. Usually another night during the week as well. You’re all invited.
3 things happened in the tourney that might have forced different action. I’m curious how everyone would play these or look at people that take advantage. Just after first break one guy leads out betting on the river. Everyone folds until it hits the dealer button. It’s a sizable pot but before the button folds the bettor tries to muck his hand. Dealer button speaks up and guy grabs his cards back. Good honest guy but he could have easily swiped a pot for half his stack. Next, a guy does this all time. If he’s in a big pot sometimes he will say “good bet” with no intention of folding. People assume that means fold and flip their hand. He said he did catch a guy once and the guy exposed his hand. Not only did he bluff raise the guy but the guy gets a 1 round penalty for exposing his cards. Lastly, tigr2ndbase is sitting on $14k and shoves but says he has $19k. It was unintentional (or was it) but still funny because that could be the difference in a call or fold from someone for value. Sorry man, had to get that story in there.
1. I'd do the same as guy on button. I dont like taking chips on a technicality like that. 2. Fuck that guy. I'd make it known I thought he was a POS. Fuck people like that. 3. If someone asks, either I will or I'll have the dealer break my chips down just to avoid that situation. I never state what I have.
Agree all around. #2 is a real dick move. Can’t say I won’t try that to a player I don’t like though. Make em sweat it out.
My friend who is a whale at the hold em table walked in to a 1/3 Omaha game, read the rules on his phone, and walked out up $1,600 three hours later. There are few things as real in this life as beginner’s luck.
I realize this comment is old as fuck, but that sucks to read. It's been years since I've sat down at a table online or otherwise and kind of suspected the fish would swim back after the hype died. Much unlike a dead PvP video game given it's existed forever and easy to learn and get lucky.
Won some $ in a freeroll online and have been playing for about a week and people are clearly better than years ago. I generally find the "games are sooooooooooo easy" comments coming from those who hit sets against top pair top kicker or two pair every single time. Live games have more a ton more older players set in their ways and not trying to get better imo.
Cashed out most of this on Ignition. Just got my DHL delivery tracking. Package just picked up in Singapore. Makes me laugh every time I walk in to my bank to cash. Checks on Bodog/Bovada would come from China and random places.
