Also Tim Miles is from Tallahassee and has 7 mil in chips Straight grinder at the hard rock in Hollywood and cashes mostly everything he plays Different Tim actually
Shannon still rolling, up to 5.3M Edit: on PokerGo, but it's like a 20 minute delay. PokerNews is frustratingly inconsistent.
I’m in South Carolina. Reasonably confident things will pass here. Would love to somehow go back to life before HUDs. I think the RunItUp guys are attempting to run a site that bans HUDs and allows anonymity. Remembering hearing about it a while back on the 2+2 pokercast.
In the brief coverage I saw yesterday they mentioned how he talked with Jonathan Little about not berating weaker players at the table, he ever go full Hellmuth on anyone in Tuscaloosa?
Early Shannon was fairly brash, like a lot of younger guys. Didn't help that in his first year as a pro he had absurd rungood. It was his second year on, when he started to struggle, that he really humbled and became much more professional and grounded. I'd love to give a personal anecdote about how he was in Tuscaloosa, but I was still in HS when he was making his bones. He turned pro and withdrew the same year I started. sam shakusky could probably give a better account.
Shannon's gonna need some rungood stat; took a couple beats and down to 1.8M heading into the dinner break :-/
Happy to see Fletcher bust out. Terrible player and terrible table talk. That overhead clap for himself was so cringey.
Who’s everybody rooting for now that Minkin/Shorr/Trudeau are out? Saechao is an extremely likeable guy, as is Cynn.
Better than EFro or Cada? I don’t wanna see a pro win. I want it to change somebody’s life. 2nd largest field ever, we could see a little poker boom the next few years with the legalization + an amateur taking this down.
Manion's story is pretty wild. He's a small-stakes grinder who got staked in a $2,500 satellite in exchange for 50% of his action. This is his first ME and he's freerolling to a massive payday.
Especially considering Manion had been so tight. Zhu, too. And also considering that mostly everyone was playing cautious so as to make the final 9. From Labat's perspective, you have to throw out QQ/JJ/TT for both Zhu and Manion. And since you have KK, you're killing a lot of AK combos. Given the particular situation, the odds of neither Zhu nor Manion having AA was so slim. Labat is going to lose a lot of sleep for a very long time if he doesn't chip up.
