Feels like he's being wrongfully overshadowed by Ibra (I agree), and also feels like Messi gets all of the spot light. Puyols gone after this year.
he's right to be ibra fucking sucks and is clogging anything henry can get going but henry is french so it is not unlike his nature to bitch and moan
Cas and I tried to warn you, soulfly. Ibrahimovic is bad news for Barcelona. Will be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt when Barcelona starts routinely facing quality opponents.
Ibra for Eto'o wasa dumb move that brought you down from almost unbeatable status back to reality. You are VERY beatable by elite teams now IMHO.
I wouldn't emphasize the very. They are arguably the most talented team (Real and Chelsea can both claim this) and have the best chemistry in the world. Plus, you know they are going to dominate possession regardless of who the play. They are more beatable now, but it is still going to be really tough to beat them. Might as well just bench Ibra once the group stage ends in the CL though. The guy is so afraid of physical defenders, Chiellini made him his bitch.
My question still remains though, what would you guys have done instead? We had to get rid of Eto'o regardless, still to early to replace him straight up with Bojan, and we definitely still needed someone return. Pretty sure everyone would've preferred to keep Eto'o, but it simply wasn't possible.
I dont know all the details about where Eto'o would have went or not, but I would have tried to sell him to Man City or another team like that was shopping for strikers and then try to get one of the following with the money I made: Villa(I know it was too much), Luis Fabiano, Aguero or Pato. Barcelona has the stature now to go ahead and pick elite players away from elite teams.
I feel like Pato's too similar to Bojan. I'm not that high on Aguero. I wanted Villa in the worst way, but yeah, way too much money. Sucks that shit didn't work out with Eto'o.
I would've sold Etoo, brought up Bojan, bought Hernanes, and fortified our defense (basically every position back there). Problem is, Barca doesn't want to offend Puyol by bringing in a future replacement, so we couldn't have done that. And for some otherworldly reason, Pep thinks Dani Alves can defend. Then, maybe, I'd have scoured the Ballkans or Brazil or Africa for a goal poacher.
Trust me, Puyol has already been offended by the Chygrinsky (sp) move. I'm putting the odds at him returning next year at 5% More than anything, I think Ibra was brought in more so to replace Henry. Bojan will be a regular next year, and should be the striker. Whether that actually happens or not remains to be seen.
