Has anyone had the Comply tips come apart? Had mine less than 2 months and they have big slits in the left one.
love hate. They won’t stay in my ears. Apparently I need to spend even more $ and get comply tips otherwise I love my beats wireless that wrap on my ear and have 2x the battery life.
Used the comply tips for about 30 mins today. So far they’re a big improvement over stock. Need to try the other sizes to see which fit my ear the best.
They simply help the AirPod fit better to your ear. Nothing to do with those features. A better fit can only help though.
I’ve had my Pros for over a year now, use them daily for work & they are still performing like they came out of the box.
Disagree. I think they improve the sound. I’ve linked them itt before but I ordered them on Amazon. Will have to search my orders later
Let me rephrase my statement: The tips have no impact on the processing the AirPods do for transparency or noise cancelling. Having better fitting tips will do a better job of properly seating the AirPod and blocking outside noise, thus making the AirPods work better overall.
Additionally, they’re more comfortable for extended wearing. If I wore he standard tips for an entire flight(in the before times), they started bothering me after an hour or so. Two hours in, I had to take them out. Full 2.5 hour flight in the foam tips and no problem. Between them and the little wings I bought to keep them seated, absolute game changers for extended use
There isnt. They randomly pick a handful of 12s. Call them 12 Pro, and charge an extra couple hundo for the hell of it
Just got my 12 Pro in the mail. If I transfer information from my X to the 12 will it also transfer existing text messages?
Generally speaking, your phone backs those back to iCloud and then your new phone restores/downloads from iCloud.
I made sure messages was checked in my iCloud backup. However I recall that wasn’t necessary as it was automatic but I didn’t want to risk it.
Any suggestions on which ones to get? EDIT: should have kept reading and seen many people recommend the Comply tips.
I have both. Other than the wire being three feet instead of six it’s great. Charges really really fast
I like those wingtip things for the AirPods but them messing with how the pods fit in the case for charging is a no go.
Is there anything really cool about the Touch Bar I ought to get familiar with? Any third party mods or extensions to it? First time I’ll be using it. time machine restoring now.

Macbook kicks ass so far. I jumped into the middle of a big civ 6 saved game and it was pretty quick to get in. Cranked everything up to Ultra and pressed next turn, whisper silent and my turn started within five seconds. I'll play with this more after work to see if I can get it to make some fan noise.
It's a bit of a pain but worth it for long wears. They only take me like 10 seconds to put on or take off at this point.
