I just upgraded for the X to the 12 Pro max....so far I am happy. The 12 is heavy though....

 

Got the new 44mm series 6 and love it but still haven’t figured out how to use much of the features. So nice being able to pay for things without pulling my phone out

 

I’m on an 11 Pro, I’ve been quite happy with it. One thing to consider is that I think some phone carriers automatically “upgrade” your plan for 5G when you get the 12 so you have to pay more per month.

 

Old question, but what all widgets do you roll with on iPhone home screen

 

i just have weather & the battery info one so far, but I haven’t really looked into it much

 

I put weather, calendar and Spotify but idk if I like any of them

 

got the new M1 Mac mini up and running. Holy balls this thing is fast

Smart stack was not for me. Don’t need it changing to random shit at different times of the day

2016 MacBook Pro keyboard will light up but the screen stays black. Anyone have any idea what to do? Have tried all of the troubleshooting that I could find online

Att’s $700 off trade in is making it hard not to bounce from the 8 to 12 pro.

denver streets fucking suck, but it’s held my 12 pro max with no problen

 

Any idea if they’ll be able to fix it on the spot? Or are they going to have to send it off? Appointment is Thursday, just assuming I won’t get it back until the following week.

 

Depends on the store. If that store has the part, they will do it in house but quote you 3-5 business days. If they don’t, they’ll mail it out

I went from a 7+, took about 3 days. I still miss my home button but I'm used to the swipes now.

so side question for anyone who has ordered phones direct from apple recently. it says 1-2 weeks to ship, is that pretty accurate or is it shorter/longer?

 

I ordered my 12 max a week before Christmas and they delivered the same day but I also have 2 Apple stores in the greater KC area.

 

What’s the Apple Watch part of the equation here? How does that make it secure?

 

Any idea how this will work? Will I have to interact with the watch or is it just a “he’s wearing his watch; go ahead and unlock” type of process?

Lol, iPhone XS Max has survived for 18
Months with no issues, just fell off the the armrest and now have a shattered back. Can own for $300. Gonna guess I can’t turn it in, as it’s leased.

 

Unlocking with the watch is elite. Works that way for MacBooks.

 

You have to be wearing your watch and the watch has to be unlocked (I’m assuming, based on how it works for the computers).

another question that I feel may be dumb, but I only ask because Im getting conflicting information online. will I need a new sim card for 5g? google research seems to say no, but I asked my carrier(spectrum) and they said I would brick my phone without a new sim card

Every new phone I’ve gotten has a new sim in it. You don’t switch out sims.

 

I switched out SIM cards for one of my phone upgrades, but it’s been a while.

Ah maybe. I’ve been with ATT the whole timev (12 years) with an iPhone. Last 3 years I have bought through apple and it comes with a sim.

 

Got a new macbook today. What I want to be sure is that all of my photos from my phone don't sync over to the computer and eat up my HD space. Is there anything special I need to do when I setup the icloud?

 

most of those photos live in the cloud anyways. your laptop won't download the full res versions
