I didn’t do a screen protector until last year but the previous two years I would get one random scratch early and it would bother me. No clue where it got scratched.

Using a vena wallet case with no screen protector. Really like it. Holds 5ish cards in the back and is magnetic so holds to after market mounts.

 

Thinking of changing out my Roku Ultra/Google TV for an Apple TV 4K

Same. My fire tvs were giving me issues. Got the Apple TV and it is very much in keeping with the “it’s just works” Apple philosophy.

 

wait at least till October if you can, with the fire sales on the current 4k I think they are going to be introducing a much beefier version shortly

I also dislike how it turns yellow or gets grungy inside. In the corners. Not cleanable.

 

Ive been firetv for years. Thought Apple TV overpriced. I switched a few months ago and love it.

I was disappointed that both my first and 2nd Apple TV I had to re-login to all apps even thought I was logged in my iPhone and another Apple TV. Couldn’t it transfer it ???

 

I loved my fire TV box. It seems to be laggy now, like my firestick used to get.

 

Speck case as well but no screen protector. I did get an offer for a free one for Verizon so that’s on the way… but probably go to a clumsier person in my family.

FYI generally an iPhone 14 case (just regular 14) will fit the iPhone 13. Several notable case manufacturers are even advertising their 14 cases as fitting the 13.

 

Did anyone trade in an iPhone 12 with Verizon? Any idea what I could back? Never traded one in, so not sure how it all works.

 

My Verizon app says I could trade in my wife’s 12 for $800, applied over 36 months. It’s all very easy now, do the upgrade through the app, when you get the phone you set it up yourself (may have to call them to activate), then mail in your trade in.

 

Anybody have the Ultra? Mine is coming in today and I already have second thoughts.

14 pro max on order thank god

current 12 pro max. Got to 3% battery by 4pm yesterday. Battery health 87%. Says battery usage was 22% iMessage and 10% phone.
iMessage takes a ton of battery? Besides screen brightness?
And the Max has the largest battery.

 

I’m on a 12 and I can go two days without a charge if needed. That’s gotta be the newest iOS draining you like that. I haven’t downloaded it

It's the new iOS. Battery drain is a pretty frequently cited concern with it right now. I don't know what they did but even my 13 drains a whole lot quicker now.

Only way I see you can go days without a charge is if you basically don't use the phone as anything more than an alarm clock

 

Bought the Apple TV. Enjoying it so far. No giant ads taking up over half the home screen, I can use my air pods, and it supports multicast/PIP which is tight.

 

I really like mine even though I know deep down it’s stupidly overpriced and not economical at all.

I guess I could say the same about all of my Apple products though.

 

You guys need to turn your screen brightness down

I’ve very recently discovered the multicast might just be an ESPN app thing. I’ll have to see if the Roku or Google tv can do it sometime. And yes its very overpriced but such is life. At some point I’ll try using steam link with it and the Apple hardware will be nice to have.

 

I keep mine down pretty low and on dark mode most of the time

I know it’s not on the Roku ESPN app

 

Only the powerful devices have access to the multicast thing.

 

not sure who itt who have purchased new MacBook Air m2 but holy hell.....speedy AF and battery literally lasts for days. my MBA 2018 couldn't last an entire 8hr day. MagSafe charging is sooo choice. if you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

That’s what my fiancée just picked up today. She actually returned her first choice color option yesterday, the Midnight. It just instantly picks up every fucking finger print and smudge. Changed to a Starlight color today, so far so good.

I ordered my iPhone 14 pro max from apple directly, do they give a tracking number for the return case for my trade? I heard it will arrive a couple of days after my phone did.

I don't see anything about a trade on my invoice, just has me nervous.
