I had posted several months back about screen protectors being obsolete with advances in the screen resilience. I had my 15 for 3 days and had a small scratch in the corner. My karma deserved that.

 

I have always just used the leather Apple case. The new peta fanatic fake leather sucks. Ordered 5 cases to try. The winner is the Caudabe Sheath case. It’s great.

 

I have no complaints with the old leather case. Is Caudabe Sheath the TMB preference?

 

What's a good clear or opaque case that isn't a fingerprint magnet?

 

Clear cases are yucky

I only like clear cases since my phone is another color than black.

 

I was always a bumper guy but got the clear apple one with the mag charger on it for my green one I have now. I looked everywhere for a gold one for it but couldn’t find one I liked. Loved my old wood case but couldn’t find a good one for a bumper since the company switched

How's it do as far as fingerprints go? Seems like it's a bit more like opaque or frosted than true clear so I'm guessing does pretty well in that regard

 

Yeah it has kind of a frosted look so haven't had any issues. I like the texture of it too. Not the rubbery feel that a lot of clear cases have.

Right I just think it’s a very large amount for a cracked screen. But I guess they lock you in for 36 months which is the whole reason

UPS left my phone at my door with no signature at all. Didn’t knock or anything; just dropped it there.

Has anyone traded a non cracked 12 through Verizon? How much did you get

 

I had the 12 pro max and got the full 830 for a 15 pro max. Mine was in perfect working condition with no cracks or scratches.

 

Think I was being offered $220 for my regular 12. Went with Apple, where I’m supposed to get $250.

 

Well damn, sounds like Pro is valued a lot higher

sounds like T Mobile are cheap asses. I only got offered like $350 for a mint 13 Pro Max.

 

Yeah I was hella surprised att offered 830 for mine. Dropped to 250 for an 11 so guess I’m upgrading. Also got att to lower my fiber bill 20 bucks by calling their loyalty program

 

Just got the 99¢ ultra thin case from China… don’t waste your $$$ on Peel or Totallee, as this is identical.

I went from an old 15” pro to a 13” and wish I would’ve stayed with a 15”. If that helps anything.

 

If you only update every 4-5 years why get the phone that’s already outdated

 

There is negligible difference between the 13, 14, or 15. But I'd just get the 15/15pro, for the USB-C... Lightning cable will be an artifact in 4-5 years.

 

Is there a way to download podcasts onto my Apple Watch? I’ve added the podcasts I want to download, but they never sync and download. Google tells me this is a common problem, so I’m curious if anyone has any tips or tricks to make this work.

 

I don’t know your phone usage pattern or needs and price sensitivity. Leave it to a squawk to need to be told what to do like a baby.

My suggestion is get the 15 Pro.

 

Getting media onto the watch is notoriously buggy from my understanding. I’ve never tried it myself. Are you using the Apple podcast app? Could try a different app, like Overcast.

Weird. Are you downloading them to your watch or just streaming? I’ve got it set where it is supposed to download three unplayed episodes, but nothing ever shows up in the downloaded list on my watch.

 

Don’t think I’ve ever downloaded to my watch, but stream Spotify off of it frequently.
