Not a look at me post but courtside actually sucks. Best seats are like 8-10 rows back where you are eye level with the rim
So I'm using numbers and in one column I'm putting xxx/xx and it's adding a space between the first two numbers.....how do I stop that?
is that standing or seated? in college fsu had standing and that was fine, but nba is seated and you are like hip height to the players and it's a really terrible angle
Seated. Idk, never got to sit there for a full game but sat with feet on hardwood for shootaround once. It was awesome being that close. Really got a sense of everyone’s height
I'm unable to mute group chats since I updated to the newest IOS. Help??? They are still marked muted but I am getting notifications. Appears to be mainly issue on groups that include "green" text people
Had this exact issue with one group chat. It involved people in my favorites list and once I removed them the mute started working. Haven’t tried adding them back to see if it was just a glitch or not. There was a poor person in the chat tho, I’m embarrassed to admit.
Your favorite’d contacts do get some elevated privileges but there must be settings because I don’t have this issue.
Wanting to grab a new mini and get an external HD to store the majority of my shit. Any recs or anything I need to think about when buying a hard drive and using it as storage for basically everything I want to be able access from my desktop?
Foldable iPhone to Cost ~$1,000 More Than Today's Pro Max Spoiler Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone will likely cost around 10% more than Samsung's rival device, according to a known Weibo leaker. According to a new post from the Weibo user known as "Instant Digital," Apple's first foldable iPhone will likely cost between $2,100 and $2,300—just a little more than Samsung's high-end foldable. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 starts at $1,899.99, while the Galaxy Z Flip6 starts at $1,219.99. Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to have a book-like design that folds horizontally, just like the Z Fold. The rumored pricing would make Apple's foldable around $200–$400 more expensive than Samsung's equivalent offering. For comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199, but when configured with 1TB of storage that increases to $1,599. This means that Apple's first foldable will still be around $1,000 more expensive than the current flagship iPhone. There are a growing number of insightful reports about Apple's long-rumored foldable iPhone; it is now expected to launch as soon as next year. Instant Digital has a mixed track record for Apple rumors, but has provided some strikingly accurate information, such as the imminent launch of 2023's Yellow iPhone 14, the frosted back glass of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, the Apple Watch Series 9 as a minor refresh, spatial video capture on the iPhone 15 Pro, the latest iPad Air and iPad Pro's landscape front-facing camera, the M4 iPad Pro's nano-texture display option, the iPhone 16 Pro's battery capacities, and continued Apple Watch band compatibility through the Apple Watch Series 10. As a result, their reports are worth taking seriously.
I wonder if I can get an employee discount when Im relegated to the tim apple factory job putting in the tiny screws
i'm going to try and make my busted 13 pro max last until the foldable comes out. the folding touch screen phone really feels like the first true step forward in smartphones in a while.
I will absolutely get the foldable. But absolutely will not get the first version. Those are always trash
luckily i think apple has been letting other manufacturers work out a lot of the issues with their models.
I think mobile gamers, field photographers (you’d be surprised at the number of people who use Lightroom mobile on location), and the chronically on-the-go mobile users are the main demographics for folders. They keep going after the Kindle world, but the eye friendliness and longer battery life of e-ink continues to win. After using some demo units for things with pictures (periodicals and textbooks) I could see the attraction. When I was still in that realm of manufacturing it was less defined who’d want such a monster. (If you build it they will come?) As other companies have put out foldable devices the users have revealed themselves. The durability issues persist though. As early as 2016 I was working on some subset of foldable Apple devices but they do not tolerate device failures. They want reliability on par with the nuclear industry (I’d hear “wanting better than five nines” in meetings referring to 99.999% success rate or only a <0.001% warranty rate under normal use conditions). There’s a multilayered sandwich of different adhesives and different films that have to be folded tens of thousands of times and not wrinkle or delaminate. That’s a lot of words to say if/when Apple releases this device I’d expect it to be more reliable than the Samsung etc. products. I also worked on stuff for them (Samsung) and they will sacrifice reliability for maintaining their status as “first to do _____.”
I'll use my tablet in a pinch to read. But there is no substitute for e-ink. And part of the benefit of a kindle is the extra step of putting it down and picking up another device to get side tracked from reading.
Not sure why anyone would think the hardware wouldn’t be well done. Apple has been great at hardware for years.
I’ve seen some stuff that needed a microscope to even see a tiny bubble and they’re like “NOPE”. I hate working with them, but it made me appreciate owning their products immensely.
I used to manage the portfolio of materials they use for their white plastic parts. Blocks etc. The color spec was intense and any particulates or black specs was instant rejection. We had to make the materials in a healthcare type clean room. That said. They paid for this type of precision. So win win.
so, I'm trying to use this hard drive as the boot drive and keep getting errors. If I go into Startup Disk in system settings and try to change the startup disk to the T7, I get an error message saying "The version of macOS on the selected disk needs to be reinstalled." I've downloaded a few different versions of Sequoia and keep getting the same error. Currently have 15.4.1 both on the T7 and on the internal harddrive. Also tried changing the boot drive by booting into recovery mode. Shows the T7 drive, I can select it and click continue, but nothing happens. When I select the internal hard drive, it fires right up. Any help y'all?
Just figured it would be more streamlined that way and seemed like it would be pretty straight forward.
