I guess I don't know your end goal, but your first post was additional storage. There is nothing easier than just having it be a drive plugged in while your normal/internal drive is running macOS and dragging/dropping stuff onto the hard drive. Making it a bootable drive means you have separate macOS that neither will see each other to drag and drop from.
Yeah, I realize they are two different things. I decided to give the bootable drive a shot and am just confused by the error I’m getting. If I can’t get it to work, I’ll just change gears back to using it as just storage.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/111336 it might be the dfu port that you're plugged into, otherwise just make sure you are formatting it for macOS before trying to install
I saw the text notification pop up today when using CarPlay. I’m on iOS 18.4.1. I never use CarPlay to view or reply to texts though so I can’t say if that part of it is bugged. If you only need storage then making it a bootable drive makes zero sense to me. Just reformat it and be done with the exercise. I know this is like a week late and you probably resolved it by now.
we are what, two years from the announcement of the Apple Vision Pro? I have never seen one in public and don't know a single person that owns one.
Like every new thing. Hate it until youre use to it. Then bitch about it when they change it in 2 years. Life of an Apple user
Yeah it'll be fine. I just watched a few videos and it seemed a little tricky to read at times. It'll probably take me like 5 minutes to get used to it and then I'll no longer care.
people said same the same shit about airpods when they released. wearable tech like that just hasn't found a hold yet and vision pro is fucking expensive.
lol nobody said that about AirPods. All the memes were just about how easy they were gonna be to lose.
Maybe the VR stuff will take off but I just don’t see it unless there’s some major improvement. Apples seems like it’s on the right track (if it ever even becomes good) but I’m not shelling out $3,000 when a laptop, phone and AirPods are cheaper.
I got the new Powerbeats Pro 2 recently and man do they suck for sound. I love the over-the-ear set-up but the sound is meh, at absolute best.
You’re memory holing how many people said they looked stupid and that they didn’t want long sticks coming out of their ears, and that they were fucking expensive. That obviously went away quickly once they were released and gained widespread adoption.
Bluetooth headphones had been around for quite a while before airpods. Don't think people cared about .5 inches of stick hanging out of the ear vs. an entire goggle strapped to your face
I’m not saying AirPods vs Vision Pro is a direct comparison, that’s dumb. Once the use case is figured out (which it seems no one is close to figuring out, and the bar is a lot higher for something that goes in your face/eyes) then adoption will follow. Just like it has for other tech. Sorry yall don’t know ball.
it would be insane to see someone wearing any type of VR headset in public that is not exclusive to the vision pro
3D TVs didn’t take off because people didn’t want to wear 3D glasses in the privacy of their own homes. Plus a good amount of people get motion sickness while using products like these. Idk if it will ever take off.
