what is "forcetouch" Spoiler: warning bad joke daddy fat sacks I'm guessing technology developed at FSU
I don't fully understand how it will be utilized, but sensors will detect how much pressure you are applying to the screen.
Jail broken users beware More than 225,000 Apple iPhone accounts hacked September 01 NEW YORK Hackers have stolen more than 225,000 Apple accounts from iPhone customers. Security company Palo Alto Networks is calling the attack "the largest known Apple account theft caused by malware." Palo Alto Networks (PANW)discovered the hack along with Chinese tech group WeipTech. The good news for most iPhone customers is that the malware, nicknamed KeyRaider, only targets "jailbroken" iPhones. Jail-breaking allows iPhone owners to access parts of a phone's file systems that are otherwise restricted for security reasons. KeyRaider is mostly found in Chinese websites and apps that provide software for jailbroken iPhones. But the malware has spread far beyond China, showing up in 18 countries, including the United States. Once infected with the KeyRaider malware, a jailbroken iPhone will give up all of its owner's iTunes App Store information to the hackers, including the Apple (AAPL, Tech30) account username, password and the iPhone's unique ID. It also steals all the information about the owner's App Store purchases and prevents people from recovering their phones once they've been hijacked. The hackers aren't keeping all that for themselves: They have allowed other people to take advantage of the stolen account information. The hackers have uploaded software that lets other people purchase iTunes apps for "free," using the victims' accounts. About 20,000 people have downloaded the software that lets them steal from the 225,000 affected iPhone owners. A site that lets people download software to purchase iTunes apps using people's stolen Apple accounts. Palo Alto Networks said victims have reported that their Apple account purchase history has displayed apps they never bought. Others say their phones have been locked, and the hackers are demanding a ransom to return access to the owners. A ransomed iPhone, demanding the owner contact the number on the screen to reclaim access. Jailbreaking phones can be a useful way for technologically savvy iPhone owners to customize their devices to their liking and install apps that don't appear on the iTunes App Store. But it also bypasses some important barriers Apple puts in place to prevent these kind of attacks from happening. "Users ... need to consider carefully if the additional functionality is worth the additional risk," said Nicko Van Someren, chief technology officer of mobile security company Good Technology. http://money.cnn.com/2015/09/01/technology/apple-iphone-account-hack/index.html
I have it on my apple watch. It's only used when changing faces right now but I can see how it would be useful in certain applications.
Apple Watch has this. Its where you place your finger, then increase the pressure for feedback. Its pretty awesome. So for instance, if you're looking at a notification, you can force touch by placing your finger on the message, then increasing pressure until a little trash icon appears along with a quick slight vibrate then you just tap the trash icon to delete
Here is the mac thread http://www.the-mainboard.com/index....-mac-while-you-swear-at-your-pc.86417/page-48 I think the iPhone thread got lost in the most recent crash
The new Apple TV and remote lo cool but it's adding another remote to TV watching. Currently, my Apple TV is just an aux button push on a universal remote.
The still haven't fixed the camera tumor on the back of the phone and it appears I may have been inappropriately excited over the rumor of returning to a smaller screen size offering. :(

New Apple Retail pricing program, starting in the US. iPhone Upgrade Program. New iPhone each year, choose your carrier, unlocked phone, includes AppleCare+, starts at $32/month.
Is this.. the best choice? I'm on Verizon Edge but I think they screwed me and pushed me to the 18-month cycle instead of the 12-month that I swore I signed up for last October. I don't want Sprint's Unlimited iPhone plan because of Sprint's sucky network.
Glad I didn't wait for the 6s, very underwhelming. even the ad says "not much has changed" and then at the very end "the only thing that's changed is everything" which one is it apple
I'll probably upgrade the wife & I, as we both have the 5s. Pissed that they didn't bump the base model to 32GB. Prefer the size of my 5s to the 6, but if I'm upgrading I'm going large & getting +
From a first glance it does if you want a new phone every year. I need to look more into it. I didn't know there were different Verizon Edge plans. Thought if you wanted a new phone you had to pay half the cost of the phone (or have had it for 1 year) and turn it in. Or you can upgrade at end of 2 years (or buy out phone) to upgrade now?
There is just one Verizon Edge plan, but they switched it from 12 month cycle to 18 month either right before I signed on, or just anti-grandfathered me into the 18-month one. In order to upgrade before those 18 months, I would have to pay off the remainder of the phone. If I wait until the 18 months are up, I turn it in and only pay the tax on the new phone. I have to go talk to these fuckers, I don't know.
Let me know, my wife just went to the Edge program and I thought that is what they told me (what i just told you). I could be wrong...
I wish they would do a 'new' ipod classic, or at least do a phone with enough storage for a large music library
So I think I figured it out. Spoiler It isn't a cycle at all. One is eligible for device upgrade if they signed up for it at a certain time. If you had a device payment agreement from before May 31st, 2015, I believe you must pay off 75% of the value before being eligible to upgrade. If it was before June 1st, 2014, it's 50%, and in between June 1st and October 15th, 2014, it is 60%. I don't know about if your wife just signed up for it, though, and I don't know what happens with any new phone. Is that one still 60% payoff? Or is it whatever is in effect now? Conclusion: fuck if I know.
Just did the math on a year of that and yeah don't like that shit anymore fuck What does everyone think of "live photo"
