I really like Rise. It was an awesome app then they "updated" it when the new ios came out and it was a pile of shit. They finally fixed it and it's back to being awesome. I like the functionality and also the night stand clock display option that stays on all night when it's plugged in.
Sorry if that offends anyone, but yeah I tried the first watch for two weeks before giving up. Processor was just too slow and the UI was horrible until OS 3. I'm sure it's better now that the first Watch has the new software
This was true, as expected. On the plus side, the turnaround was remarkable. Called on Monday to request a box, got the box Tuesday morning, dropped it at a FedEx box Tuesday afternoon, and had the replacement on Thursday.
Ordered this yesterday. Buddy has a stand for his watch and it's a gamechanger, I think. The alarm clock function on the watch is nice, but situating the cord to use it is a pain, and I don't like having it sit loosely on my bedside table.
Having an issue with my 7 not ringing for phone calls lately. I've done the standard make sure DND isn't on and the silent button isn't on. Doesn't seem to be an issue with any other notification sounds. Any ideas?
Is there a new MacBook Air coming out soon? I want to buy one but don't want to by the current version if they're about to do an update
Apple Watch users, any recs on 3rd party bands? Looking to pick up a couple. I am too cheap to pay $50 for Apple brand.
some various colors of the rubber strap kind and maybe a nice leather one to go with a space grey watch.
There's a few on amazon that have pretty good reviews. I like the Nike-style one - with the holes in it - if I were going to replace my rubber one. Haven't looked into the leather ones much. Regardless, Amazon is definitely the way to go.
I bought one that is supposed to be red but came orange. If you have the original you'll be able to tell the difference. It feels lighter
From a functionality standpoint I can easily see why they would discontinue the Air in favor of the MacBook. But MacBooks are considerably more expensive so you're probably pricing some people out.
thinking about getting an apple watch soon. is the series 2 worth the extra $200 or is the series 1 good enough? i dont plan on swimming or running without my phone
band came in yesterday, definitely does feel lighter. Seems to attract lint/dust, which i didn't have that problem with the apple rubber strap. overall, not bad for the price.
so I think my battery on my mid 2012 mbp is finally on the outs, what is the best place these days for buying these? doesnt look like they sell them on the applie site any longer.
do any of y'all use the EQ on the iPhone for music, if so any opinions? i've always had it set to "Off"
I bought 3 iPhone 6S Plus' on amazon to use as cameras in my golf facility. Does anyone know if I can "activate" (meaning just use) these phones without a sim card? I basically want to mount them and use the camera and no other functionality. No calls, texts emails etc. I want to turn them into iPod touches with good cameras. It seems like this is impossible without connecting to a carrier and getting a sim card. I googled and it said I could activate them by connecting to a computer through iTunes but then iTunes just tells me they need sim cards. Do I need to return them and get iPads?
My 2011 Air is finally showing signs of a final lap. I sure hope the updates later this year don't bring pros over the $4k mark. Photo editing has become almost impossible.
I have old iPhones and used one of them as a camera for a baby monitor for my daughter. Can you just connect them to wifi...that's all you need. I paid $5 for a baby monitor app that had all the functionality of a $150 camera.
Something about these phones never having been activated won't let me put in my wifi without a SIM card.
My 2011 MBP is still going strong. I wince everytime I read a post like yours. I know the ole girl can't last forever, but it will be a sad day when I have to say goodbye.
My 2010 MBA is still working like it did the first day I got it. Gonna be a hard day when she finally bites the dust.
This is what makes MacBooks a great investment. My 2011 MBA lasted almost 5 years, including an additional year after it took a direct liquid spill. Fried the battery and it noticeably slowed down over that time but I figured it was toast immediately after the spill. If it wasn't for that I'm sure it'd still be working fine today.
The other day my refurbished Mac Mini had the folder with the question mark. I did a hard restart and it booted up fine, but it's running pretty slow. I use it for media - converting video, streaming video from it, sports streams. Streaming is all fine but video conversion and other things that touch the hard drive - internal and external are running pretty slow. Everything's backed up, so if the hard drive fails, I'm fine, but do you guys have any tips to get it back up to speed, for lack of a better word?
So the CIA has found all sorts of apple vulnerabilities and is keeping it all for themselves, except not really. https://wikileaks.org/ciav7p1/
that model wouldnt be sold on the site if it's less than 5 years old from date of purchase, apple store can still do the repair
Which should I go with, the 7 or 7 plus? Any major difference between the two other than the back cameras and obviously the size? Looking like my Nexus 6P may be dying.
I got a MBA on July 4th 2013, runs amazing but I only really surf the internets with it. I also have only gone to porn on it like twice and that was on accident thanks to TMB
I have the plus and it's pretty great. Moving from a 6 to the 7+ the phone get so much bigger, but after having it for two months now, I couldn't be happier.
My biggest issue is constantly red lining on storage. Pictures kill performance until I get them moved over to an external then things smooth out some.
