apple going to offer $29 replacement starting january https://www.apple.com/iphone-battery-and-performance/
They are getting crucified on social media as this just screams a way to placate people while still raising revenue.
“Hey, we bogged down your phone, unbeknownst to you, to help save battery life; but we’re willing to offer you this $40 battery replacement to make up for it!” Good guy Apple.
The fuck is this shit. We don’t take kindly to your kind around. Best you move along. We don’t want any problems. Now git
Anyone that’s on the fence about buying an X over a 8...do it. Upgraded from a 7+ to a X over Christmas and I’m loving my X so far. Size works better for me (girly hands) and this thing is snappy. Doesn’t take long at all to get used to not having a home button.
Some info on the x... if you’re outside for more than 15 minutes in sub 32 degree weather your flash pictures will stop working. It’s weird, I know, but I was outside on Thursday trying to take pictures for work under some temp buildings and I could not get my x to take pictures with the flash. It was pissing me off that I couldn’t get any pictures with the flash considering the amount this damn phone costs. The flashlight worked, but I couldn’t get it to take a picture with flash. Some stupid ass software if you ask me.
It also doesn’t take kindly to extreme temperature changes. If it’s in my pocket at about 70 degrees and then I take it out in 18 degrees (like I did this weekend in NYC) the screen acts like it’s drunk and doesn’t push all the right buttons and it’s a bitch to text.
my buddy got one and it looks nice and handy but Idk how it actually is with an iPhone. I need something I can actually use in the hospital when I cant get to my phone at certain times
Hey guys, I need some advice here. I found this deal: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1293726-REG/apple_mlh32ll_a_15_4_macbook_pro_with.html My wife had bought the attached image, but I feel like the link is a better computer for the price and I can still return the one she bought until the 5th.
That is a great deal on the 15" with touch bar. Personally, I am not a fan of the 12" MB unless someone is buying it for portability. It's a full laptop price, but has modified iPad internals. Not worth the $ imo. Get that MBP with touch bar if you can.
Alright, I’m struggling to get my iPhone and iPad synced. Not all my contacts are showing up on my iPad even tho iCloud is enabled on both. Also can’t sync my messages so I can use iMessage.
it was originally end of month, but they made it effective immediately. just have to schedule an appt with the genius bar or apple authorized location
Got a pair of AirPods for Christmas. I was initially kinda skeptical when they first came out but the freedom from being tethered to my phone is amazing. I can't imagine going back.
Is there a dock you recommend if I'm trying to connect 2 monitors, a printer, and a wireless keyboard and mouse to the mbp?
I use this at work. 2 monitors, Ethernet, and usb. I use displayport for one monitor and usb-C to DisplayPort for the second one Plugable Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station with 60W Charging for MacBook Pro Late 2016/2017 & Specific Windows Laptops (Single 4K DisplayPort or HDMI Monitor, Gigabit Ethernet, Audio, 5 USB 3.0 Ports)
AirPods are intriguing especially if I end up with the watch, but I am not sure I want to spend that much money when I am sure I can get some other Bluetooth earbuds for much cheaper that will get the job done.
in contacts app, tap groups and make sure all your contacts are actually in iCloud as opposed to a gmail/exchange/etc. you can determine this by unchecking iCloud contacts and seeing how many you have left if everything is in iCloud, and you can verify on iCloud.com, then just sign out of settings and sign back in
Surprised at the AirPods reviews in here. I was completely underwhelmed by the product when it came out. Ive been using the bose qc35s at work. Maybe Id look like less of a munson with the AirPods.
they fit me a ton better than the earbuds, but ears are weird so you can't really know until you try them.
Yeah, you need to try them for yourself. They fit my ears perfectly. But in-ear Beats and Jaybirds tend to pop right out for me. I’ve had AirPods for about 4 months and use them at work a ton.
