ITT we post things we've noticed about Gen Z-ers or make fun of them or whatever. Calling birthdays "Jordan Year" (23) or "Kobe Year" (24)
Hmmmm, try making a sweet TikTok or something? Maybe the new Olivia Rodrigo album would cheer you up. Albums, who am I kidding. Here's a dope playlist
The music they listen to When I was a kid every album had one ballad and the music video was in black and white and then when the guitar solo hit the video changed to color now that was music
They are into vintage NASCAR tshirts for some reason. I've seen multiple college kids rocking something like this
^ this is the type of thing I'm not looking for. Every generation piles on the next one. Just interesting to follow trends and what they might indicate etc
Cell phones surgically attached to their hands. There’s something very unsettling about seeing a kid riding a bike while staring at a phone.
They find info in weird places. “I didn’t see that on their website.” “Dude, it was posted on their story”
They make fun of Millenials for wrapping too much of their identity in Harry Potter which is funny to me
Probably the kindest generation, to date. Doesn’t seem like they’re huge dicks to each other like we were.
i was in line at moes a couple years ago and a middle school basketball team got in line behind me. they didnt actually say anything but the whole time i was worried that they were going to relentlessly roast me. it was harrowing. my own personal 9/11
Gen Zer once told me, "Man you got some hairy ass nipples" and I've never quite recovered from that emotionally
I have the hardest time figuring this stuff out. Baby boomers, gen x, millennials, gen z. What are the specific birth years for each?
I went out in Atlanta with my zoomer brother a couple of weekends ago and some girl walked up to me and asked if I went to georgia tech because I was in a buttondown and khakis. I felt like such a loser.
Boomers (WOAT): ~1946-1964 Gen-X (close 2nd) ~ 1965-1980ish Milllenials ~ 1981 ~ 1996 Gen Z - 1997 ~ 2015 People argue about these things though but that's roughly accurate
Things are pretty gray close to the cutoff lines. My sister was born in 97 and firmly considers herself a millennial. She's a hybrid in my book
This is a pretty bad one. There's no way people born in 1982 should be grouped with people born in 2004.
Look closer. The graph includes the full range of definitions. The colored portion is the general consensus.
