you implicitly suggested that I already have autism which is what made the post funny
I don’t get the joke. Is autism funny? Explain to me how this is funny
See it's funny to allege a normally functioning person has an intellectual disability because it means he's not smart at all haha see
Someone in the office mentioned flu shots and said something like “well haven’t you heard about that person that ended up paralyzed from a flu shot?” My associate who is very quiet and very timid (Creighton grad so I knew what I was getting) didn’t miss a beat and replied “Yeah, I did read that, it was from a very rare disease and an ever rarer linkage of that rare disease to vaccines. Did you hear about that guy in Wisconsin that had to amputate his limb’s due to a rare allergy to dog saliva? Just to make sure you’re safe you better go home and put down your dogs and all of your neighbors dogs.”
Better question. When? They’re out now. Waiting til October timeframe?
Yes, Oct. 15th to be exact.
Yes, as always
Got mine today.
I usually try to get it on into the fall to try to get it to last into the spring. Idk if that makes any difference at all or if it's just in my head
I have a check up on Sept 15th I’ll see if I can get it that day.
I get free vaccinations at my new job so might as well.
Sick brag bro. The flu shot is free if you have health insurance.
Depends on the health insurance
Was reading CDC guidelines around flu vaccine and they recommended October since August or July might mean immunity wears off sooner in the season.
Will get early October.
have never had a flu shot
have never had the flu
Managed to get Covid-19 which sucked tremendously
for tens of millions of Americans that was a brag.
Hope you make it to vaccine day.
My Fiancee and I will get it Wed
i usually get it mid-Oct
or earlier if i happen to be offered it somewhere prior
It is in your head when you get it has no effect on its efficacy it is meant to last the entire flu season. Some good news the senior dose is quadrivalent for the first time this year.
Usually get it at work in August. They haven’t done it yet but saw dates for mid October. May try the Publix pharmacy before then
Hy-Vee Pharmacy gives you 0.25 off a gallon of gas when you get a flu shot, so yes I’ll get one.
Think Publix did $10 gift cards last year, so I actually skipped the work one and got it there.
Get a flu shot. Don't be a dipshit.
10 dollar gift card
Doing it this year too and if you don't have it the last 10 years CDC are pushing to get your T-Dap( tetanus whooping cough, Diphtheria) vaccine as well
I’m not opposed or anything - just somehow have never done it thus far.
Got it because we got it before our daughter was born (6 years). Remind me in a couple years to re up
Yep that's when most get it to be covered for newborns.
Random tangent... my sister posted on facebook asking for advice on getting this and a flu shot so of course the idiots came out in full force. Texted her and asked why the fuck you’d trust their opinions over your doctor. Luckily a pediatrician she knows messaged her separately and talked her through it all so she got them.
Don't get the flu shot until mid October at the earliest. People who get it early are dumb and probably vote republican.
We should add a soft flu shot holiday so we know when to get it
Got mine two weeks ago, as the hospitals in which I work require it. So, dumb republican checking in.
Pharmacists normally just walk around and administer it on the floors, so I’ll just wait for that.
My wife is high risk and her rheumatologist recommended it so take your ignorant post somewhere else.
They do it every year, saw the sign on the counter yesterday
You’re corrupted by the deep medical state
soulfly I have some news related to your 2018 request above:
My doctor last week recommended I get it in September because they will run out by mid October. With everyone being extra cautious due to Covid
That gold medal is ours
My wife is an NP and that is what she is recommending to her patients as well, due to what she's heard from people in her system.
36% of this board is anti vaxxer trump fans
I just never get the flu
No shot needed
Yeah we have a ton right now but we are giving them at a steady pace. This month will suck
I think a more interesting question is...
For those of you who don’t get a flu shot, will you get a covid-19 shot when they’re ready to go?
I think we’ll hear some consistency with the “No” crowd on both... would make sense.
