Enough of the ass kissin from Dbl and back to business.......Arky St is catching 2 points, 50/50 on the bets coming in so far.........anyone got anything? Addendum: O/U anywhere from 52.5 to 54
Nebraska played Arky State. To me I would give the edge to Ark St. They run the spread and have a very mobile Qb. Both teams have faced stiff competition early. Ark st - Nebraska, Iowa, Troy. Nebraska beat them by 29. Iowa only by 3 and Troy by 3. ULM- has faced Texas lost by 39, Arizona St lost by 24, and beat Fiu and Fau(common openent of Nebraska by 2). I was much more impressed by Arky State than Florida atlantic. And to be honest Florida Atlantic dominated ULM.
From a very good Sun Belt capper. La-Monroe -2 Very important game for both teams, as they take the spotlight tonight on national TV. Monroe came into the season overlooked compared to Troy, ASU, and even Middle Tn., due to the fact they had to replace a very good starting QB from last season. However, they did return almost everyone else, and the new QB has done a nice job so far running the offense. A win tonight puts them in a solid #2 position behind Troy. I believe that overall ASU has a slight talent edge everywhere except one place, and that is the offensive line. Monroe has a veteran group that has remained healthy so far, while ASU began the yr with alot of inexperience, and has now seen 2 key starters lost for the season. Guard Padrta was lost in the season opener, and last week at Iowa, starting center Castilaw was lost for the yr. Padtra was actually the 3rd string center as well, so ASU is down to one center on the roster, and he is a redshirt freshman. However the main reason I am on Monroe tonight, is the poor conference road history of ASU coach Steve Roberts. The Wolves always seem to come up short in key games on the road under Roberts. They blew 2 4th quarter leads last yr at FIU and ULL, and lost a 4th quarter lead at home against Troy this yr. He is a very conservative coach, and I have watched him time and time again play a game not to lose, instead of trying to win. To be honest me and the rest of the ASU fan base are sick of it, and he is under alot of pressure to win 7 games this yr, or I believe he will be fired. If this game is very tight in the 4th quarter, I believe a much more relaxed Monroe team will find a way to come out on top.
I don't know enough about either team to bet on them. I'll go with trent and rain. I know those things lol.
Yeah it is pretty dumb I actually play these dumb games with out knowing the teams like I should. I just can't help myself.
Yea, I used to do the same thing. Probably would have tonight until Aero said something and I actually sat and thought about it.
NorthCoast Sports (Marquee - ULM - 2.5) They did mention that it would be raining and raining hard, but still went with the side.
Remember that those that set lines don't ignore weather forecasts. Not saying the under isn't a good play, but never base an under play solely on the fact that its raining. Books take that into affect and adjust their lines accordingly.
Yea, but I've noticed that we can get it sometimes before they adjust. I know a bunch of us got the Nebraska/Mizzou under before it dipped several points. It was creeping down, and then plummetted once they showed a monsoon in the pregame. We have guys here telling us 2 hours earlier that it was really ugly there.
16-0 ULM with 3:30 left. If it stays at 16 in 1st half, I'm thinking 2nd half will be 24 or so. Looking at a decent middle. 16 + 24 = 40, so roughly a 12 pt middle if you took 52. Thoughts?
Anybody else thinking 2nd half middle? They said it stopped raining, so that should help the offenses. I have 2u on under, so might go 1u on over 2nd half. Hedge my under a little bit incase they light it up in the 2nd half, and hope to hit both.
Was also looking at that dbl. That last INT helped a lot, I have ULM -2.5 and UNDER 52.5 both bet alone and parlayed. Arkansas St started to move the ball a couple times in the 1st half, OVER bet might get there and I checked the radar, looks like most of the rain is gone for the night.
He is 2/3 so far for like 38 yds. Ark St. can't do shit and they are shooting themselves in the foot. Just hope it stays on the under and ULM wins by 3.
Damn son, I got 20.5. Loaded up 3u. If it doesn't hit, I lose 1u on the night. I'm ok with that. Looking to hit 5u, though.
Yea, I went 3u on 2h when I only had 2u on 1st half, which might not be the wisest play, but I really like the 2h at 20.5. I've got a 16 pt middle on it. If I lose the 2h, I just lose 1u. Not real harm done.
