only watched the one ep last night, but i could already tell I would like this way more than the original season 4.
It’s still not as intertwined as the old episodes because of the scattered storylines (and I’ve only seen 4 or 5 so maybe it picks up), but they’ve juxtaposed the storylines better. Example: Playing Gob stuck inside a trick off of Lucille on house arrest off of George Sr.’s sweat lodge.
Finished the remix earlier today. I think they did a really nice job and the three Cinco episodes put a nice bow on it. It’s pretty remarkable that they trimmed a lot of fat while extending it by 7 episodes.
I think the episodes are shorter than the original cut. I know back years ago when they first mentioned doing this recut that they wanted to shorten the episodes so the 4th season could potentially be included with TV syndication deals along with the other 3 seasons. Hence why every episode is now like 22-23 minutes.
That looks amazing. Tobias as Michael is gonna be great and I think I saw Justin Theroux in a wig on the bench.
This sounds very promising. Lol at (from article but spoilering if ppl don't want to know plot points) Spoiler As usual, Michael and George Michael get lots of screen time, as does Gob Bluth (Arnett), who’s in the throes of a sexual-identity crisis following his night with Tony Wonder (Ben Stiller) in season four. Gob’s frantic attempts to cover up his no-longer-latent homosexuality deliver some laughs, especially when he seeks help from a closet-organization company in episode seven.
Oh man, the potential for formerly-repressed homosexual GOB... I can't wait to see his interactions with Tobias
Do I actually want to read that right now? I'd really like to live in blissful ignorance for long enough to enjoy Season 5. I know that's terrible and selfish of me but I can't help it. I love this show and want to enjoy Season 5 before having to hate some of the actors.
I’d steer clear of it. There’s some funny jokes and Walter’s gripe is legitimate, but it doesn’t provide a ton of context on the group dynamic. I used to love the DVD commentaries on the episodes and if the round table was anything like that, the conversation is being overdramatized.
bateman and hale already apologized for being idiots in that interview. it was pretty cringeworthy how they just ignored walter's complaints and just talked past her like she wasnt even there
Started a re-watch a week or so ago when I saw more episodes were coming and just watched a scene and thought I recognized someone... Armie Hammer's first acting role - Student #2. That's his only appearance or line in the episode.
Thought S5 started a little slow...particularly with GOB...all came together nicely though. I thought the Mexican Romneys were going to shoot and kill Tobias...and I think that would’ve been hilarious.
Lindsey look 100x better than last year. (This season is so much fun. Not quite to the level of s1-3 but much better than s4)
