I'm going to catch flack for this but they shouldn't have killed Laurel. It should be been Felicity. She has ruined this show. It's never a good idea for writers to go off the original plan to appease the Tumblr shipping crowd. How do you kill two versions of Black Canary on a Green Arrow show?
She's not fucking dead She just happens to die seconds after asking Ollie to do something for her, and you don't even get to hear what it is. Not to mention as someone stated it absolutely should've been Felicity.
I agree completely except she's clearly not dead and that's why they got so heavy handed with the being Black Canary is what really makes me feel alive bs. Honestly for as stupid as it is to kill off Black Canary the show will earn a lot of favor in my book if she really dead for good and not just another character who is dead to the world but still alive like Roy, Sarah, shitty Diggle brother, Ray etc. For all the talk show runners did about this person not coming back from death shit, I'd rather have Green Arrow with no BC at all then to have Laurel comeback to live in the shadows.
if she really does live i'm probably done with the show. it's been more work than not the last season+ watching. i get trying to keep the character on as a tribute to the comic books, but at a certain point, the tv character doesn't work (and really never has). they made the right decision as a tv show. if they back out, i'll watch the 1 or 2 flash crossover eps a year and call it a day
Yeah she isn't dead. Even the look on Oliver's face at the end when Lance fell to the ground was more of an ashamed, I've hit rock bottom look than sadness.
She's 99.9% not dead. Episode spent the ENTIRE time setting it up like Laurel was going to die. Then that totally obvious and fishy cutaway. Followed by the fact they still refused to show a scene with her name on the grave. If she really is the character death, then they would have done it then. I'm really starting to think it's Felicity and the scene with her telling Ollie he has to kill Darkh in the limo after the funeral is Ollie hallucinating in his grief. Only hole in my theory is I don't see any way Barry would miss Felicity's funeral and/or be so casual about his condolences.
next week is supposed the be the funeral and when they'll show the grave. Guggenheim insists it's not a fake out they've done that already and Laurel/Black Canary his dead on Arrow and we'll find out about Oliver's promise to her next season . I think show runners want her to be dead but they left themselves a break glass in case of emergency out if they need it.
I just need to see how laurel will be on the flash. That was announced before the episode. Producers and writers tried to figure out Laurel and have been failing which is why I think it's real
I've been planning on watching flash/arrow in the right order (haven't seen either). Through 2 episodes now and it's hard to get into so far. Does the writing ever get better, and does the story ever slow down? So far the whole time it's basically just "believe me, this guy is bad" and I feel like I'm supposed to care that he's taking these people down. It seems like the first 2 episodes should have taken place over an entire season. Edit: First three episodes would have been perfect as a full season
What an uneven episode. Really enjoyed the stuff with Quentin and Diggle. Especially Quentin completely breaking down in front of Ollie when he finally accepted Laurel is gone (hopefully). Diggle's guilt is certainly understandable. Great acting by Blackthorne and Ramsay. With that said, why the fuck did they include the fake Canary plot line? Completely unnessary. Some random high school honor student can improve on a device invented by Cisco? Seriously?
Was this the first time the timing of the crossovers has been off? Barry hasn't regained his speed yet.
Yeah that seemed to be a case where arrow set this in motion back in the season premiere and then the way each show progressed, the weeks just didn't sync up.

I don't know what to think about this show anymore. Some of it is on me because I love Flash, and this show is tonally different, but the logic/stories on Arrow are hard to follow. Does Arrow have any "big bad" that could carry a season? What made season two so incredible was how Deathstroke was an intriguing villain.
Maybe I missed something, but what happened to Curtis Holt/Mr. Teriffic? I thought it was announced Echo Kellum was promoted to a series regular?
this season is the worst. There are so many times where they had a chance with the writing, direction, etc. to turn it around and they missed it. Maybe i read and watch too much but this shit is annoying. They had to kill Adam or whatever because his new show he's on got picked up. Diggle's storyline was drawn out, and too long that you didn't give a shit anymore about anyone's feelings or who would die. So much more...but next season better go up, but right now Arrow can coast as it's the "mother ship" of the DC shows and was a strong beginning base. Now it's 2nd tier to Flash
Yeah, script writing is all over the place. So many unnecessary conflicts. I honestly think the season would have benefited from only having 15 episodes and condensing it to only the HIVE storyline. I honestly hope the get new writers next season who aren't so ADD.
ARROW would thrive on a 15 episode season now that I think about it. I love THE 100 and it's actually a great fucking show with only 16 episodes. Even a filler episode is important in some ways. Arrow does that, they benefit greatly. And also, don't go all game of thrones that The 100 tries to do, but get away from the campy confrontations that you know some people should have died and didn't. But i'm glad they showed some deaths.
The flashbacks have gotten progressively worse and worse as well. Do they even serve a purpose anymore?
I stopped watching after they killed Laurel. The writers appeasing the Felicity and Oliver shippers ruined this show. I should've quit sooner.
Its impressive how fast Grant Gustin suprassed Stephen Amell. He has really thrived in the role as Flash.

Just waiting for this to end. Going to reevaluate over the summer and see if I want to sit through another season. Hoping they can figure out shit next year.
Didn't mind the hacker battle, but not one gives a crap about felecity's parents. I'm too the point where felicity is getting thea/laurl bad for me. Don't really care if she is on the show or not anymore.
I've basically decided that I'm going to give it 2-3 episodes into the next season. If it continues to be as horrible as this season then I'm done. I can't understand for the life of me how they ruined this show so quickly.
