Please let the non racist team play us in the final Edit: I’m assuming Frankfurts fans are better than Chelsea’s
Hello friends, can’t believe that just happened. Was trying desperately to get home from the golf course to see the second half and had to settle for intermittent score updates from Tony Meola in Sirius. Thanks Atlanta traffic. I love you all. Play Cech in the final.
I’m pretty sure it is. I’ve been planning this day of drinking for a little bit I don’t get out much anymore.
I know they’ve announced otherwise, but surely there’s a chance that Ramsey could play a part, right? Right guys??
Based on these tweets I’m seeing, getting to the final in Baku will be an affordable and convenient destination for the majority of both deserving fan bases to attend.
Been the opposite for me so I will make sure to watch if we ever figure out what time the game is. Has a final decision been made on whether or not Mkhi is able to go to the final?
Think he can go technically but it’s a question of whether he thinks it’s safe, which I don’t really blame him for
No fucking way I’d go if I were Mkhit. And because of that I think Hazard should have to stay back as well. It’s only fair. Edit: that would be if house Eden. Just to clarify.
That’d be a fantastic FU from Ivan, “we’re interested in buying Mustafi” 2 months later: “never mind “
I’ve settled on wanting Leno to start the final but I suspect Emery goes with Cech Obviously hope I’m wrong though
Has to be Cech for karma purposes. Also agree with Tim Stillman’s point, if he promised Europa to Cech, Emery has to stick with it.
Cech is absolutely the right choice, even though I seem to be the only one with this opinion. Not that it's Leno's fault, but results have been better recently with Cech in goal. He has loads more big game experience than Leno. He commands his box in the air better, which could be important if Chelsea keep playing Giroud. Cech organizes the defense with more authority. Tim Stillman's point is a good one about Emery and the team going forward if he were to switch now. Leno is undoubtably a little quicker and a much better distributor, but I hate how we try to play out of the back with our current defenders/midfielders. It puts undue pressure on our worst field players, ostensibly to make life easier for our best players (especially with our lack of dribblers on the wing). I would be fine with subbing Leno in right before PKs if it were to come to that.
Here is the weird thing about Mustafi - as much as I hate him I could see him being a decent defender in Serie A. He doesn't necessarily lack ability, just brains. In a team where the coach stresses defensive tactics, and the whole team plays a defensively sound scheme, and a situation where he risks getting himself dropped for making mistakes: he might do just fine. Arsenal's set up and defensive "tactics" (or lack thereof) is probably the worst place he could play. €20 million sounds like a bargain for Milan, send over the cash.
