You weren’t lying, pigeon forge was like international Blvd in Orlando with all the t shirt shops and buffets Gatlinburg I only drove through but it seemed like it may have better restaurants etc
not asheville, but going to wrightsville beach tomorrow and was looking for a good seafood restaurant. preferably one that isn't too fancy, because i will probably be drunk and wearing mismatched flipflops.
I know some in this thread have gotten married in Asheville or might be looking to do so. If you do, hire the Royal Suits to play your reception. They are quite literally the best wedding band ever.
What's the deal with Asheville airport? Never flown out of there before and wondering whether it's one of those non-busy ones where you can show up shortly before flight time
Solid fucking Mainboarder right there. Always ready with a sandwich recommendation or the whereabouts of a vacant parking lot
Going this weekend to Asheville for a friends bachelor party. I don't really have much say over the plans but any places that are must visits? I know we're doing a brewery tour one day and weather permitting floating down the river on another.
We've got a bus taking us to 4 different breweries. Not sure which ones, I think we get to pick, just know the bus is picking us up from our house and dropping us back off there at the end.
I'd want to spend more time at Sierra Nevada than one of those bus things allows. New Belgium I agree
Even when it's just you and you're paying for a brewery tour of 4 spots like that they usually put you on a time limit.
I actually never looked up where our airbnb is, just realized it's 40 minutes west of Asheville. No idea why we're staying that far away but it's the brother of my friend who planned everything so he may not know what the hell he's doing.
We've got a huge house with a pool 30 minutes south for my bachelor party in August, will be using a bus for transport to breweries and then back after concert at Orange Peel.
I will definitely be checking out Sierra Nevada and I'll let that bus leave if they don't give me enough time.
I would have the bus make it's last stop somewhere in South slope and just walk around from there. So like burial, green man, twin leaf, funkatorium, Catawba, etc
I have no facts to back it up but that seems absurd. Is Charlotte considered mid Atlantic? New Orleans? Memphis or Nashville?
it is illegal to rent out entire homes in asheville so that is probably why. i think you can only rent out two rooms max without applying for a permit in special situations there is one guy here who said those laws are dumb so he's just been ignoring the fines that he's getting and is up to $3million total. sounds like a fun legal battle for him
Yeah, but there are a lot of places that are significantly closer than that. People who aren't familiar with the area end up in his predicament often though
Yeah I've done that too. You can get a bit closer. West Asheville it's legal but not a lot for big groups there. There's a bunch of stuff right there where the blue ridge hits Charlotte highway and that's like 15 minutes to downtown. Have an Airbnb in a building in South slope this weekend so that's nice
Buxton hall, gan shan station, salt and smoke at burial, blue dream curry house, 9 mile, wicked weed, chai pani, red ginger, white duck
