There was four of us who went and we shared plates, but I don't remember it being terrible price wise. It was cheaper than curate. Mostly tapas, but some of them have entree portions. Farm to table, all these places get their shit from local farms.
Also Biscuithead in west Asheville is the best breakfast in the city hands down. It crushes early girl and over easy. They have a fucking gravy flight.
i always wanted to go there also but sunny point is unbelievable, probably my second favorite shrimp and grits of all time,
Sunny point is awesome. We stayed in west Asheville last time and went there on Saturday and biscuit head on Sunday. Both of those places were ridiculous. Next time you go make the trip to biscuit head and get the mimosa fried chicken biscuit.
Good timing. Heading to Asheville tomorrow morning for my wife's 30th birthday. She wants to do the Biltmore tomorrow, so we're doing that and then getting dinner at Curate. We'll probably just walk around and bounce in and out of bars Saturday. Got an Airbnb loft right downtown for both nights.
Sunny point had a broader menu and better drinks if you are looking to have a few morning cocktails. The food I had at biscuit head was second to none. I would look at the menus and decide for yourself. You can't go wrong either way.
I went to Ashville with the ex wife a few years ago. Most I've ever spent on a dinner, I can't remember the restaurant but the bill was 325 :/
Heading up to Cherokee for my bday in early Jan About 15 of my friends are flying in to Asheville for it, first time using this allegiant air and these prices are pretty pretty good
Hope you are staying at harrahs. Peters pancakes and waffles is a must for breakfast after a night and morning in the casino. Also FYI you have to pay for booze in the casino.
Going to Asheville with the bf for NYE. Pretty excited, as I've never been. Really hope we get some real cold weather between now and then, fuck a warm holiday season.
We're in Hendersonville on the 30th and Asheville on the 31st and 1st. NYE reservation at Cúrate. For anyone going to Nightbell, get a Deviled Egg.
Great town. Did the Biltmore Friday. Pretty impressive, especially considering George Vanderbilt was a bachelor when he built it. Pre-dinner booze at Thirsty Monk Friday night followed by Curate. It was absolutely fantastic. We got 7 plates and all were god-tier. Saturday morning we went to Biscuithead and it too was great. Papas and Beer for lunch, watched a little football at the Bier Garden, and then Jack of the Wood for dinner and a good bluegrass band. Grabbed breakfast/brunch at Chorizo before getting back on the road. Great little weekend.
Headed there for a get away week pend with the girl I'm seeing in January, what area would be the best to find an AirBNB? Haven't been in a while, how much does location matter in this city? Thanks
Crushed Curtae last night at the 9pm seating for NYE. Went to Table, Burial, and now at Nightbell, dinner at Limones.
I stayed here it was super nice, she left champagne, chips and hummus for Freakness and I https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/3649639
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1499885 stayed here, wanted to be able to walk every where, was awesome, street can be a little noisy
This is where we stayed too. Also forgot to mention, we ate lunch at an Indian place called Chai Pani. It was great and was my second favorite meal of the weekend behind Curate.
went to the new rooftop bar at Highland last night. then ate dinner at Barleycorn. wasn't a bad evening imo
We have tickets to Wicked Weed's Sour Festival on July 16th but I think we're going to have to reschedule. If anyone will be there, I'll sell them for face value of $80 each.
weird they have that the same weekend as Burning Can http://burningcan.com/locations/brevard-north-carolina/
going this Thursday through Sunday with the wife for some eatin' and drinkin' definitely going to Biscuit Head, White Duck Taco... heard good things about Buxton Hall. anyone been?
Will be in Asheville the next two weekends. Been meaning to hit up blue dream curry house so pretty excited for that Friday
Its going to be a little while before I'm through Charlotte again I think, but I don't mind getting you stuff and we can figure out transport later if you want
Best friend and I are heading up to Asheville on 8/21 for a few days, staying at an airbnb around downtown. Def gonna hit up a few of the places recommended in here and hit up every brewery I can. Last year I hit up Wicked Weed, Burial and I believe green man. Gonna at least double that this time. Any recs for anything to do outside of that?
