story aside, the gameplay and elevators and other issues from ME1 make unplayable after the improvements in other games.
ME1 has best story, ME3 has best game play (and the fucking worst ending to anything ever), ME2 was my favorite overall though good gameplay and the final sequence of events are amazing
Cesare Borgia is a real piece of shit Spoiler I captured the apple last night so I've made some good progress the past few days
the Seeing Red sequence in Brotherhood was probably the worst part of a video game I've ever experienced relying on the apple to kill people is so infuriating and stupid Spoiler went from tailing the cardinal to killing random guards with the apple to some cut sequence where we rally the troops to confront Cesare and his remaining troops. Did they stop trying on this one about a quarter of the way through it?
Spoiler I know that feel bro (especially since she was voiced by Kristen Bell), upon doing some friar juggsian research I discovered that in one of the PSP or whatever games you find out that Lucy is a triple agent and was still working for the templars. So that made me feel a little better
Yeah, I read that too. Shitty cop out IMO. Could've made the twist so much greater if they had kept it going until AC3
I am tempted to KOP Revelations but I'll probably just wait till Christmas or something. Going to be asking for books, many video games, and a new putter
SO I've read next to nothing about AC3 despite that fact that I preordered it. Am I right in expecting another "got ya bitch! come back next year!" moment with a cliffhanger ending?
I think you will get a solid ending with that would keep the overall Desmond story line going for an AC4, but I don't think you will have that "got ya bitch" feeling. My guess is they will treat this one similar to AC2 have a few "Connor" sequels that come out each year that you can play if you enjoy his storyline, and then you will see AC4 in 3-4 years
I actually have 100% achievement on AC1. That was probably my favorite one to get. That fucking begger bitch is one of the most annoying NPCs in any video game ever.
AC2 and Brotherhood are great games. Revelations was no where near as good as the previous games. It was neat to tie together characters and Sophia (nuff said). Other than that, there wasn't any outstanding improvement from the last game weapons or historical location wise. Game is short and the only city you play in, is very small and boring.
AC2 AC3 Brotherhood AC1 Revelations IMO AC3 is just so much fun to play, but AC2 for the visuals & storyline alone are what makes it the best game in the series. It was pretty ground-breaking for its time as well.
just started unity i still cant get over hte modern storyline do the templars want the fucking solar flare from AC3? made no sense. that was the climax of the modern story and now its all random ass shit with juno
So, for next year's game. What time period do you guys think we'll get? Sooner or later they got to give us The American Civil War
It's been said before but they need to ditch the Animus shit and the larger story and just give us cool Assassin games in interesting time periods
Can we a Ninja (Assassins) vs Samurai (Templars) storyline? Wielding a katana or throwing a poisoned shuriken or Kusarigama would be sick
theyve been going forward in time not backwards. it will be 1800s now in britain... still have civil war and industrial rev and prob china eventually
Has anyone seen the cast for the film? Pretty ridiculous actually. Fassbender Marion Cotillard Michael K Williams Jeremy Irons Brendan Gleeson I mean that's a bunch of really good actors. If this movie's gonna suck, it won't be because of the acting.
Next Assassin’s Creed Game May Not Launch Until 2017 The ever-popular Assassin’s Creed franchise, from video game developer Ubisoft, has seen a major new release nearly every year since the first installment in the series was put on store shelves way back in 2007. Consequentially, fans of the historical science-fiction action-adventure property have come to depend on said annual installments, even in the face of various technical glitches that disrupted gameplay in both the critically derided Unity from 2014, and its better-received successor from this past fall. However, despite the favorable reception lauded onto Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, the title suffered in terms of sales, largely due to the poor performance of its predecessor. Presumably in a move to address these issues, the latest news on the next title in the series will see that game potentially pushed back by at least a year. According to Kotaku, the next Assassin’s Creed — tentatively titled Empire with a central narrative reported to take place in Egypt — may not launch until 2017, and could mark a shift in development on behalf of Ubisoft that will result in a biennial cycle for the franchise moving forward. Starting this morning, rumors about the development and subsequent release of the new game have been churning on 4chan boards, where an anonymous poster, claiming to be a developer on the new game, dropped the story first. Firsthand testimony dating back over the course of last year that has been gleaned from sources familiar with Ubisoft property and the title in question suggests that Empire has been centered around Egypt for quiet some time now, with an original 2017 release date having been previously planned. Given this information and insight, it would make sense that, in the light of several lesser-polished titles in the franchise, Ubisoft might want to take more time to finish their games before making them available to the public — if only to avoid another disaster as harmful as Unity has since proven to be. With the December 2016 theatrical release of the new feature film starring Michael Fassbender, it’s probably a good idea for Ubisoft to delay the next title in the video game franchise until the next year – if nothing else than to help generate more enthusiasm for the new cinematic adaptation. Even if this latest update on the development of the next gameproves to be inaccurate, the new Justin Kurzel movie is verifiably on the way. Screen Rant will keep you posted as more information becomes available on Assassin’s Creed Empire. Meanwhile, the Assassin’s Creed movie will see theatrical release on December 21st, 2016.
Standing alone, Unity was definitely subpar, but not as bad as everyone made it out to be. It looks even worse being sandwiched in between BF and Syndicate. A year off will do everyone some good.
A MESSAGE FROM THE ASSASSIN’S CREED TEAM by Ubisoft | on February 11, 2016 | It’s an exciting time for Assassin’s Creed. We’re only a few months removed from the debut of Jacob and Evie Frye, the stars of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. We’re proud of the talented team in Quebec City, and all of our studios around that world that took part in bringing the Victorian London adventures of our twin Assassins to life. We truly hope you enjoy playing Assassin’s Creed Syndicate as much as our studios enjoyed making it. Also, we recently unveiled the first images of Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender in action as our lead Assassin in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie that hits theaters on December 21, 2016. Having already visited the set, we can’t begin to describe how surreal and exciting it is to walk the real-world halls of Abstergo, or see the intricate replicas of Assassin weaponry. We have an outstanding cast and crew that want to honor the rich lore of Assassin’s Creed and bring a fresh perspective to the ongoing battle between Assassins and Templars that’s fit for the big screen. This year, we also are stepping back and re-examining the Assassin’s Creed franchise. As a result, we’ve decided that there will not be a new Assassin’s Creed game in 2016. Since the release of Assassin’s Creed Unity, we’ve learned a lot based on your feedback. We’ve also updated our development processes and recommitted to making Assassin’s Creed a premier open-world franchise. We’re taking this year to evolve the game mechanics and to make sure we’re delivering on the promise of Assassin’s Creed offering unique and memorable gameplay experiences that make history everyone’s playground. We’ll have more to share on all of the above soon. In the meantime, we want to say thank you to our millions of fans around the world for your continued support. Good, focus on bringing the game back to what it was
Ended up getting a month's worth of Playstation Now to mess around with some games, wanted to try this series out and settled on II after reading this thread, looks like it's not available for some reason though. Thinking about just buying it on Amazon since it's only $16, plus prime shipping.
aaand I just did Should I fuck around with the first one in the meantime? Seemed like people itt were pretty disappointed by it.
I would play it a little just to get the feel of it. I mean the concept is cool and already knowing the controls going into #2 would be nice. #1 wasn't complete shit or anything, just incredibly redundant. It was fun for probably the first 3 hours but after that it's literally the same thing over and over for the next x hours until you finish. play #1 for the next 48 hours, wikipedia the rest of the story to get caught up, move on to the next one. We'll see you in Italia, Ezio
I played II and then I. The controls are similar, but not the exact same and you may find it frustrating to go from II back to I. That said I enjoyed both
This. 1 was a really good game for the beginning but also got really frustrating. 2 is easily one of my favorite experiences playing a game that was the peak of assassins creed
