Tito was nice, but replaceable. Julian was a tough loss but I think we could have survived it. Nagbe seems to be really missed by this squad as a rock in the midfield for possession and getting the attack started. It’s not like Cubo and Jahn are getting all these opportunities that Josef would have buried in the net. We’d be better off since his mere presence changed things, but I think we’d still be middle of the pack.
Gressel wouldn’t be doing much with Josef out. He’s not been very productive at DC yet without people to make him look good.
Who would've ever thought that Remedi would be our best midfielder at getting forward this year (not counting Barco as one even though he's hopefully staying there for now). I think Rossetto has the ability and seems pretty strong on the ball but also for the most part unwilling, at least so far, to take the chances at playing the ball forward when the opportunities present themselves.
I’m hoping Rossetto is more about acclimating than anything. Remedi was one of the only ones who looked like he gave a fuck last night. I’d put Cubo on that list and probably Gallagher.
