Crazy how much more effective we are feeding the feet instead of trying to cross. Wonder if there's anything to that.
Also, acknowledging I have no idea what our atmosphere will be like at MBS, I'm going to miss Bobby Dodd and I think we should consider having some kind of summer series and play a few matches there a season.
Pretty incredible how strong and consistent the attendance has been this year. I realize it's new and the team is pretty exciting to watch at home, but I still think it's impressive for soccer in Atlanta to be averaging almost 45K fans per match.
2nd Weekend of September. its like Sunday the 1tth, same day as Falcons game at Chicago. There are 2 capacities depending on if they put up curtains on Upper Level ~40,000 for typical ATLUTD match, but can go up to ~70,000 for full stadium. iirc 83,000 for bigger matches like a potential World Cup
No one interested in the game tonight? Don't know much about the U.S. Open Cup, guessing it might not be as big of a deal as other countries' club competitions.
Fucking terrible there by Heath. Get a cross in there instead of passing back, getting said back pass picked off and immediately giving Miami a counterattack goal in the last kick of the game.
Possibly, but he never should've been put in that spot with :10 left in stoppage time. Absolute shit giveaway.
Bad loss. No way around it, but we're in year one with a midweek 11. I hate it but I'd rather save our guys for the playoff run. The loss might be good for us come September.
They played a ton of reserves tonight. It was a tough way to lose, but I wouldn't call it a bad loss with that lineup out there.
No Martinez, Asad, Almiron, Villalba, Parkhurst, Garza, etc. I thought Carleton and Vasquez played really well.
Right. Mid week lineup like I said. It also saves our players from extra midweek games going forward. We are on the same page. Still a bad loss though with the studs on the bench.
ok let's not be so literal. They didn't play. The point is we still had enough talent playing that we should've won. We didn't and it's not a bad thing.
Was hoping we would have taken the match more seriously. Would have liked to have won the Cup and played in the Champions League next season.
Great win. Was just waiting for them to concede an equalizer after that great first goal by Villalba. Happy to see a shutout on the road.
