They had the supporters section doing chants while the team was practicing. Arthur Blank got a standing ovation when he walked out....you got a sense for the sound reverb. Just given what the crowd was, not even 50%, you can tell its going to have the same noise as the Dome. At least with the Sphincter closed.
Yeah I was there today. My seats are on the other side of the stadium from the supporter's section and they were pretty loud.
I don't really get why people keep asking about the roof and fixating on it. Event if it could open in 5 seconds there's likely not a match or game that it would be open for until October anyways with the temp perimeters they've set.
Was reading on r/AtlantaUnited that a bunch of people in a supporters group called Resurgence (not familiar with them) posted a bunch of stickers on various murals in the stadium Saturday. Sounds like they are a pain in the ass to remove and it pissed off a lot of fans and the Falcons players.
if we can streak together some wins we have a path to 3rd place the compacted schedule will test our depth tho
Saw something saying OCSC Supporters Groups are banned from traveling to Atlanta for the next 2 seasons due to the damage they did at Bobby Dodd. Seems harsh.
They are doing a grand opening of the new team store at MBS on Sunday from 12-6 for anyone that is interested in seeing the stadium
We've made some great runs but our touch has been poor several times. Villalba has to close down on that ball that lead to the goal.
We've had a lot of last second goals this season. I hope our record is reflecting more on our skill and less on luck.
that would be quite the move, without knowing what form he is in. Pretty sure Spurs were talking to him over the summer.
http://muyindependiente.com/lo-quiere-el-tata/ this is saying Zenit was after him and it would cost us a $10m transfer, at minimum, that we already offered $8m and they rejected. Would be on loan until January, so presume he'd replace a current DP.
10-20 Million Euro is the number floated around on Barco. Atlanta would have to reshuffle the squad and move some players like Jones, but I think they could buy down Villaba's DP contract with TAM. This would allow them to keep the core together and add Barco, but it is 5 high quality players for 4 spots. Plus the team needs to start working in Carlton. This year was chalked up to the U17s, but Carlton needs minutes next year. Also on the hook for full season of TAM with Guzan, so would have to see where that number falls. Rumored influx of up to $800,000 additional TAM with the new Adidas deal, so that would open up a slot there with no changes because that is enough to buy down Villaba by itself.
