I wonder how much slicker the roads are going to be because of this brine shit that's everywhere when it does actually rain later today
None of the seats are great besides floor imo. You’re relying on big screens to see what’s going on up on stage and the sound quality in the whole place is not great. last show I went to there was Leon Bridges and if you were on stage looking out we were in right center field about 10 rows down from the concourse. It wasn’t bad bc everyone just sat. If it was a show where I had any inkling to dance it wouldn’t have been a good time
Few of my friends payed ridiculous prices for Rufus tickets there. Gave them the smug asshole response to why I had no interest bc he played at COTA not that long ago and it was $30 but nobody else in the group wanted to go then
Yea not trying to be a downer. if it's someone you've really been wanting to see for a while and that's the venue they picked here then you'll still have a good time. Just the nature of the beast when you use a building designed to host basketball games and use it as a music venue. There's prob not many 15K capacity venues that have great sound quality, unless it's a giant theater. And people on the far side of the venue aren't gonna be able to see the stage that great. The lack of dancing space is a me problem. Kinda boils down to the type of show as well. If lights were doing most of the leg work it'll still be fine for viewing.
I'm an old and don't dance or wookie, but I like the bowl. Saw Billy Strings and Rateliff (separately) sitting in 116 or 115 and had a great time. Saw Koe Wetzel (fight me) from 112 and it was fine too. I'm sure 106 and 120 are great, particularly if you're lower down. Wouldn't recommend any of the 200s.
Thanks for the info. Sometimes I want a seat these days so the bowl option seemed nice. The 110+ weren’t too far away?
Not for me, but probably depends who you’re there to see and what you’re into. Realizing I’m really an old and didn’t take any photos but there are some decent photos in the link below. I try to stay in the bottom 10ish rows. https://aviewfrommyseat.com/venue/Moody+Center/seating/all/
Just added Anjunabeats 3/29 to Bohmer 4/5 and Lane 8 4/18. Gonna need to stretch my legs and noodle a little bit after busy season wraps up
Happy SXSW to those that celebrate My annual physical test to determine if 9 days of this will cripple me
they're either doing cookie cutter apartment layouts and designs now or I've def been there before. may be the building on SoCo on the east side just north of ben white
My place downtown has plummeted in value. I’m cool with it, not leaving anytime soon, and it means a smaller property tax bill. My valuation is down over $100k the last few years.
Haven't been able to get reservations at a time that wasn't totally inconvient yet. I've been dying to try it. Went to tomodachi the other day in cedar park. It was awesome but it was 430$ for 4 people
craft was, i think $225/person though that did include gratuity and tax. you pay for the entire party up front and are then just responsible for drinks the day of. i think that's about as much as i'd be willing to pay for omakase. great sushi is wonderful and it's fun to splurge like that but there were a few bites of fish that i wanted to order a la carte haha
That's how they get you at sushibar. Same deal you pay up front and then at the end they allow a la cart and special bites. Also special prices lol
Right? Some solid acts for W1. My schedule won’t allow it plus I like going when it’s TX OU weekend so it’s less crowded.
Dammit people, it's rain you don't have to drive with your flashers on Especially don't drive with em on if your changing lanes passing people
