Got a group about to head there. Real solid not too pricey. Prob going too late to get an outside table today but that back patio is solid
We totally bailed bc it was a long ass day. And then find out today that my roommates GF and her roommate were there with 13 girl bachelorette party that ended up coming back to their place to play more and do drugs afterwards. One of them got pulled on stage. So pissed bc they're a fun group of chicks and totally had an in with them
Well I did Austin TX this past weekend. Good town probably overhyped a bit but would be a fun place to live. I spent all of my time in downtown and SoCo. Also, hard to find an open bar in the early afternoon friday. More people south of the boarder in that town than I anticipated. If anyone wants to see what a bachelor party did click the spoiler. Spoiler Thursday Checked into the airbnb Walked across the river to Terry Black's for BBQ (Thanks for the recommendation) Got ice cream at Amy's (coffee and reese's) The Continental Club Friday Left the airbnb walked to Hotel Van Zandt (very nice hotel great location and probably wouldn't stay anywhere else in austin) Friends started rolling in about 11 Walked to torchy's on congress and had a great lunch (Matador, scallywag, and madcow) they don't have a liquor license yet. Not a lot of open bars at 2pm on Friday but we found bar 96 on rainey which was a block from the hotel Went to dinner at Max's Wine Dive bar. DO NOT GO THERE! Overpriced and I felt like I was at O'Charleys Walked to 6th street and was impressed but over it quickly. I had my credit card taken up by the bar tender to start my tab only to not be given the correct card an hour later. So lost my credit card but I had extra. spent the rest of the night on rainey and didn't see that many attractive girls out. Saturday Checked out the capitol and UT Lunch at In N Out Met up with the group at Rainey (javelina's and banger's) to watch Bama UK hoops and day drink Dinner saturday night at Jacoby's (Highlight of the weekend) Then West 6th Parlor and Yard and Kung Fu (These were a lot of fun and seemed to have more attractive ladies) Sunday Brunched at the hotel Ride Austin to the airport (From downtown to the airport is $17)
This is the best for Interactive: http://www.garysguide.com/sxsw Pretty good for music: http://www.keeganslist.com/
Man rock rose crawling w fine ass bitches. Its like another version of west 6. I feel like im in dallas. Met a tiny lawyerwhite girl on friday while just randomly being out and about. Her friend wasnt feeling my friend But this girl was splurging on me, making out, buying me drinks And my dum ass lost her in the crowd
I found a dude that has a master list of all SXSW events with RSVP links and what not. I paid for it but I can send it to you guys when he drops it. He posted last years spreadsheet and it looked pretty dope
brodie my bad for not hitting u up that last time, lets catch some drinks @ rainey soon That stuff is essential. im trying to get rsvp'ed to the parties in advance. Post if you can Thx breh I'll get u a round if I run into ya
got the spreadsheet, they update it every day so it's not done but let me know if/when any if y'all want it. it looks like he has the security locked down pretty solid actually so it'll be hard to share links aside from pictures. unless anyone knows a way to share a google doc that has security options to not share/copy?

Maria's Taco X-Press is selling the property http://www.bizjournals.com/austin/n...ustin-taco-icon-to-close-but-owner-hopes.html
saw that on austin365 on friday. that is fucking tragic. best al pastor tacos in town. and they have a fancy al pastor spin that's basically an al pastor "mexican pizza" type deal with flat hard shell crusts on the outside and al pastor filling, and then they cover the whole GD thing in queso. it's glorious gonna have to pay a visit for a sunday hippie church or two before they close.
See you guys at the puppy party on Rainey https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sxsw-puppy-party-2k17-registration-31140788938
fingers crossed one of these three places is still available when it comes time for me and two friends to get a 3b/3b. Leader in the clubhouse. Everything about this place looks awesome and it's right in the middle of the shit. Con: purples may destroy my liver https://www.trulia.com/rental/4007285259-1501-Barton-Springs-Rd-222-Austin-TX-78704#photo-2 2nd place. anyone ever park on Johanna street when they go to So1st places like Polvos??? Know that Zen looking house with the gravel out front... place looks great https://www.trulia.com/rental/4008218288-700-W-Johanna-St-Austin-TX-78704 Rooftop deck and good back yard sell the shit out of this place https://www.trulia.com/rental/4008200258-617-Peacock-Ln-Austin-TX-78704
sheeeeit the monarch on 5th currently - $3275/mo split two ways. I could get the master bedroom in one of those $3100 places and pay $1200 and I would be saving $275/mo from the way we split our current place
I don't like driving. Rather pay extra than spend time in my car commuting to work or looking for/paying for parking everywhere. Corner of Barton/Lamar is probably the best location in the city kinda got baptised by fire living in gibson flats my first 2.5 years here and paying $1300 for a 600sqft box. Now after this downtown rent paying just over a grand a month feels like a damn bargain if it's in that square of Mopac>35>Ladybird>BenWhite I'd prefer to stay in that area until I'm ready to buy a place
This is the worst thing to happen to Austin since California https://www.c3concerts.com/events/f...321469&goal=0_30b4cdeaa0-8def8c9a98-137321469
yeaaaaaaa but 360 sucks dick anyways unless it's a concert where you plan on getting the cheap seats, laying down a blanket, and cheesedick date'n with a girl. and weed.
TLAU you bro out pretty hard but its cool to see how much you enjoy the city. Its literally designed for someone in your position.
*frat bro > guido bro Apparently our whole crew is part of the large Austin male demographic referred to as "Peter Pans" I'd be married with 2 kids if I still lived in AL. Not even speculating. Girl I broke up with before moving out here had our life timeline planned out
Being from the Deep South probably accounts for a lot of the Peter Pan'n. All of my childhood and college friends are in that married with kids in the burbs life, and I was on the cusp of it. Not for me for another few years. L-I-V-I-N
Girl called me that at a happy hour a couple weeks ago. Used to hook up with her a year or so ago. Gave a good response "so next time I bust in you can I yell Bangarang?" We have not hooked up since that comment
During spring break the final year of college, I had a really good female friend ask me why I wasn't in a serious relationship approaching engagement. She even suggested that I was getting close to the age where people might think I was gay (wtf lol). I kindly replied that not everyone meets their future spouse in 8th grade, but I wish I could have casually said that I was Peter Pan-ing and there was no need for her to worry.
with that said, I want to buy a flat or condo in Hyde Park or Brentwood. Raise incoming and socking away more. 78756 here I come.
Im in allandale. Never imagined Id be up here when I was in school but it has grown on me a lot. What else do we need up here?
We need HEB to renovate that grocery store, it sucks compared to their new stores. But it also takes me 2 minutes to get there. Ive made so many runs in 15 minutes flat. Such an underrated perk to be close to a grocery store.
