Wow the top recruits bought what Deion was selling. It was probably the HBCU and not Deion that sealed the deal
Deion was able to sell them on being part of something new and radically different with advantages that are unique to jackson state and don't transfer to any existing p5 school. Deion has basically 0 coaching experience compared to a typical p5 candidate and the success he's had in the swac mostly consists of having a giant NIL-fueled talent advantage over tiny schools. He won't have that advantage in the SEC. The few times he's come up against similarly talented teams, he's been resoundingly outcoached.
