He got them from soccer and basketball. He didn't play a single game of AFL in the US. Do some fucking research before making an idiot of yourself.
Another tip for those of you in the USA who wish to follow AFL. Barrack for clubs that have either your NFL team colours or nicknames. For example if you're a Bengals fan go for Geelong because of the breed of cat. If you're a Sanfrancisco 49ers fan go for Sydney because they are mainly red and white. If you're a saints fan go for St Kilda If you're a lions fan barrack for Brisbane lions.
And if you follow the New York Giants, go for GWS right? The good news is that there aren't any Magpies in the NFL so no more supporters for that lot of thugs.
My tips for this weekend's matches - Brisbane Lions to beat the Western Bulldogs, Richmond to beat Collingwood (I always tip against Collingwood), North Melbourne to beat Hawthorn, Carlton to beat GWS Giants, Essendon to beat St Kilda, Port Adelaide to beat Adelaide, Geelong to beat Gold Coast Suns, Melbourne to smash Sydney Swans and I'll be there to see it and Fremantle to beat West Coast Eagles. Essendon and St Kilda is the one to watch although Showdown (Port Adelaide and Adelaide) is usually rough and tough.
The problem with watching live games in the USA is that most matches are in the middle of the night for most of the country. I usually only catch the 9:45pm CT Friday (Hawks vs. Roos this week) and/or 11pm Saturday (Suns vs. Cats) night matches in their entirety. I usually have to watch the recorded match the next morning to see the Dockers.
And unless I'm mistaken it will be worse after this weekend because we are coming off daylight savings in Australia.
I'd like to come back as soon as a good opportunity presents itself but it's quite a ways away and isn't worth doing unless you can spend a couple weeks or more there. Not sure I'll return to Ballarat when I do but maybe!
Fair enough. The weather here might put you off. It's ok in our summer but in Autumn, winter and Spring it's usually chilly and wet.
Yep, they're real. Western Australia (6pm), the Northern Territory (7:30pm) and Queensland (8pm) don't go on to daylight savings. The other states do. During the Winter there are only three time zones compared to what you showed there.
Western Australia doing things better than the other states once again. That half of the country has its shit together. Kinda.
I can understand why people might think that, but it actually tends to work out fine. Most of the areas that might be affected by these weird inconsistencies are far enough away from the others that it has no real impact on them. People in Adelaide (SA) really don't care what time it is 1,600 miles away in Perth (WA). Probably the only one that becomes a bit messy is the NSW-Queensland border on the east coast, where there's much more regular travel between the two states. But there's no arguing with those nutty Queenslanders who refuse to adopt daylight saving.
I disagree. Queensland has the right idea. It's New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia who are out of whack.
who cares mate? I certainly don't care. We had two of our players missing. Just two. Why? One was out suspended and the other was a late withdrawal.
That's not very nice to the Northern Territory and Western Australia. And I know a number of people who hate it who live here in Melbourne.
Don’t using missing players as an excuse boss. You were talking your Roos up last week and then they lost to the worst team in the comp. Bit of a reality check.
The mighty Dees will destroy the Eagles on Sunday! Flying over tomorrow and there had better not be any fucking problems, Virgin!
Also post your major credit cards, driver’s license, and whatever the Australian equivalent of a social security number is! You lying bitch!
It appears they have two; tax file number and customer reference number. Post both, please and thanks.
