No clue what you are talking about. I was discussing the video and you wanting to live in a country where there isn't a fourth amendment. Nobody was talking about whatever you just tried to change the subject to.
weird hill to die on but you seem determined to repeatedly come in here and do this. this thread highlights shitty cops. you don't have to defend these particular cops. you are 100% surrounded by pos assholes all the time if you are on the force. no way around it. even if your agency is 90% great guys. i'm happy that you're not one of them, but we're not itt to discuss you. Tbqh, your need to defend makes me a tad worried. and that cop is not law enforcement because he was fired....probably for being a pos human, go figure. like clock-work isn't it?
Well for all we know she was a prostitute and was committing a crime but wtf is he going to do? Put her under citizens arrest? A prostitution charge is really difficult to obtain which is why the real cops need to have stings etc to have enough PC for an arrest Point is if he really believed she was committing a crime he should have called the real police
We're talking about 2 different cases. The post you quoted was referring to the black guy confronted with an apt security guard dressed as a swat cop.
damn, we're witnessing either a full meltdown from you or youre enjoying trolling us itt. I'm on mobile.....but tell me you didn't honestly watch that video and then fire off 7 posts critiquing other posts and defending the 3 men in that video?
I’m sorry you don’t realize hiding behind the fourth amendment on something as simple as identifying yourself is as dumb as the NRA hiding behind the second amendment on reasonable gun control. I would hope you support reasonable gun control even though you’re sacrificing your rights. But maybe not.
I think he's responding to our posts about the guy working on his car thinking we were talking about the prostitute.
You have some weird hatred for cops and it’s clearly altered your state of mind if you really believe this I’d love for you to come back with some 9 paragraph response explaining how you’d determined every police dept is 100% POS assholes Not even DBL would leap to such a far fetched conclusion cmon dude..
That’s exactly what I figured his meltdown was over considering that was the topic at hand being discussed
Nobody was talking about the prostitute this morning until you just mentioned it. We were all talking about the guy working on his car.
you're not caring to read (or trolling). I've told you a thousand times over that there are great cops. my post, that you bolded lol, says that you are surrounded by shitty cops. it comes with the territory. i'm ok with you attacking my post, but read them first. in case anyone is confused, a police officer, actually 2, made that arrest in that video.
I absolutely support reasonable gun control. I also support minding my own business and not being harassed by a cop. If he has reasonable suspicion that I committed a crime or am committing a crime, fine. I'll never agree that a cop can just walk up and demand id or anything else if I'm not breaking a law. Fuck him.
He reads post in here and gets super defensive. He doesn't take any time at all to do anything other than get upset that people are talking about police misconduct. He is currently intentionally misquoting me to try and prove a point. Idk why he just doesn't bail on the thread. There is obviously extreme bias in here. The posters in here admit it. We know there are thousands of great cops, we're itt discussing abuse of power. Idk....just a weird hill to always die on.
My first response in this thread was to you which was literally the post right before mine about the guy not even being a cop
This post: Was in response to this post: Which was clearly in reference to the guy working on his car, not the prostitute.
Armed security hardo was the one harassing the guy working on his car. The guy who got stabbed in the hand by the hooker worked vice or something.
Ok easy fix, take out the word prostitute and my response remains the same Wtf was this guy going to do? Place the guy into citizens arrest?
Armed security guy - guy working on car Plain clothes officer in an unmarked car that tried to force a women into his car - undercover cop that was tabbed and then killed the woman
I know. That was my point. Your opinion isn’t based on logic. You just believe you should only follow the laws that you want to follow. You’re willing to give up your rights for a safer society which you find logical. But for some reason you think I’m being irrational for being willing to give up my rights for a safer society.
No need to watch the video when in attempt to catch up I read the responses to the video and saw that it had already been clarified that this guy wasn’t a cop and was just an armed security hardo And I was in agreement with the actions of the guy who wouldn’t give him his info
Clearly there is a need so you know wtf you're talking about before trying to discuss it. You have 2 cases mixed up bc you haven't taken the time to read or watch either of them.
Is watching the video going to change my mind about agreeing with the guy who refused to give a rent a cop his info?
Only part I had mixed up was the reasoning behind the hardo stopping the person... My response has stayed the same And to think we were in agreement just 30 mins ago
yes you are misreading the intent behind the "100%" number. It is 100% that there are some pos humans that you (a new cop) would have to be around. Let's take you for example. You're a good cop. Every single day I have absolutely no doubt that you end up around an asshole or 2. There are without a doubt (100%) pos humans in your agency. You will always (100%) be stuck around it. We were discussing joining an agency and why we wouldn't last. Your previous question was how can there be good cops if youre 100% surrounded by some bad ones (pos humans) ....Is that what you want answered? the answer is that a good cop will start as an honest cop and remain an honest cop ideally. Is it your stance that your agency is 100% good cop and I'm wrong?
we shouldn't have to do this yet again, but we will.......We fully acknowledge that there are thousands of great cops. Why don't you just come in and talk about the shitty one's with us and not get defensive? Even if someone says "all cops" blah blah, who cares. Everyone knows it isn't true.
oh jesus. he wasn't even freaking out about the right case? my guess is he just got off and hasn't slept.
What’s not correct? It’s funny how people always tend to run from the conversation at this point when someone’s shown how they erred.
Are we referring to coworkers or out on the street? Either way I don’t equate someone who is an asshole = POS. Do I think YOU are an asshole? Probably. Do I think YOU are a POS? No. Do you work for a law firm? The state? I have absolutely no doubt you end up around an asshole or 2. You work with 100% POS in your firm, you will always be stuck around them. Have you lasted longer than a week? I have no doubt there are pieces of shit cops out there, will never argue that. There are pieces of shit in every profession even lawyers. I think the amount of piece of shit cops is exaggerated by the people who only watch the news or subscribe to websites promoting the bad ones and intentionally ignoring the good ones. If I was in the state of FL I’d invite you or DBL to come ride along with me and I assure you you’d likely have a different perpestive around atleast the small stuff in riding around with me than you do in a court room or behind your computer screen Shit or you may think I’m an asshole= piece of shit
Oh Jesus fucking christ, you idiot, I'm not running from shit. I just don't give a fuck to explain how stupid your God damned analogy was. But you win I will explain it to you in as simple as way possible while I'm driving. You are saying that regulating guns in a way, by passing laws which can be scrutinized by courts, to restrict violent felons and other things is the same fucking thing as a cop just blatantly breaking the law Hmmm... One is using the democratic process to try to protect the populous and the other is cops breaking the law by being nosy and demanding something the courts have established they don't have the right to do, but you want them to. Change the fucking law, John.
If he's in a state without "Stop and ID" laws, he's under no obligation to identify himself to officers without them having a reasonable suspicion he's committed a crime. He wouldn't be choosing the laws he wants to follow. If he is in a state with stop and ID laws it might be a different story. I think there's only a handful of states where LEO's can just straight up demand identification, and impose a legal obligation to comply. I am no expert though.
Back to the spirit of this thread. Who could imagine that the DoD's 1033 program is prone to being abused by local PD's? Thetford PD -- which boasts two officers -- simply took the 1033 program for an extended ride. Chief Robert Kenny managed to obtain 950 items through the 1033 program, valued at over $1.1 million Two man police department, what did they acquire? "The free material, received through a federal program, includes mine detectors and Humvees, tractors and backhoes, hydroseeders and forklifts, motorized carts and a riding lawnmower. The landlocked township also has gotten boat motors and dive boots. While much of the gear worth $1 million has never been used by the township, some has been given to residents, township officials said. The township supervisor and a trustee said the police have stymied their attempts to find out what equipment they have, where it’s located and why some of it has been given away. The police didn’t keep track of what they had or what they had given away, according to a township audit last year." Thetford PD's building was raided for 1033 records. Along the way, an envelope stuffed with cash was discovered among the PD's many, many stashes of 1033 goods. I detest 1033 for gearing up local PD's like they are in fucking Afghanistan, but this just sounds like two officers giving out government equipment to local farmers in exchange for cash. Either way no oversight on the program at all. The Chief has been arrested and charged with embezzlement and obstruction of justice. https://www.techdirt.com/articles/2...tary-gear-grab-ends-arrest-police-chief.shtml
But you’re not giving up your rights for a safer society, you don’t have to worry about being racially profiled, you’re alright with giving up the rights of others.
your a waste stop guiding others you have no value . I read every word you said in the trump thred for a year. your the worst poster on TMB .
