they wanted to kill that woman. She was clearly unstable instead of 15 armed trigger happy cops maybe send someone who could communicate with her in her native language and try and talk her down. He gave her the notice there was no need for him to be there after that.
TD only asks for a slip and ID but obv if theyve seen you a million times they dont ask for ID. BTW TD blows.
"The bomb squad of Fond du Lac has a lot of things to do guys, they can't be going around getting rid of bombs." https://youtube.com/shorts/1r1CgCSwgw8?feature=share
This seems pretty damn dangerous - long story short - they used photos of the wrong person for wanted posters https://news.yahoo.com/black-woman-sues-york-police-130044155.html
The misogyny is definitely palpable. How dare a young, poor woman feel worried for her safety in a situation where actions were abnormal.
"Hi police there's a black man outside my home in a van with what looks like a an explosive device" "Can you describe him" "Hes a black man wearing a blue shirt.... He's coming this way!!!! What do I do im pregnant!?" "Mam stay inside lock the doors! " "Omg I fear for my life. What do I do I'm so scared!" "What is the male doing I'm sending units" "I... I... Oh my God my husband!" "What what about your husband is he engaging with the perp?" "Oh no He's going to kill me !!!!" "What! Maam hide in the basement!" "No he's going to kill me when he finds out what I just bought on Amazon."
I read that he has done this before without issues. How is this abnormal? Has a person never withdrawn a large amount of cash at a bank, or is there something else that makes it "abnormal"?
He’s a black man withdrawing a large amount at a bank and therefore racist trash bag Creighton believes that’s enough to call the cops on him. Of course he would feel the same way if Coogler was withdrawing $20, since his only issue here is that Coogler is black.
I have to give you credit for this, it was legitimately funny, even though you didn’t intend it to be. Keep using the black teller to mask your racism, but no matter how much you bring her up, it’s not about her and has never been. Your use a token black shtick is not fooling anyone.
I'm not sure what the official bank policies are but I always had to provide ID for cash drops/withdrawals/change orders Can't say I was ever surrounded by police
The teller said the issues were wearing sunglasses inside the building and passing a written note with the instructions on it. Then when she asked follow up questions, he refused to answer and just kept telling her to refer to the note. It's hard to believe we are having a good faith conversation if we are pretending those are normal behaviors. You hinted at the interaction being abnormal. I understand why you didn't come out and say it because of that one poster who just kept calling me racist. I don't blame you for not wanting to deal with it. Thankfully there is an ignore feature.
I'll say the interaction was weird - teller sucked - manager sucked - police shouldn't have been called unless Ryan did something ridiculous/dangerous which it doesn't sound like he did I'm surprised at him withdrawing money in the way that he did just based on dealing with banks constantly - but it's still his money in an account at a bank - should be able to do whatever he wants at any time without risk of death.
Wearing sunglasses in an issue? Again, he did nothing wrong. He didn't break one single bank policy. He met every requirement to take cash out of his account.
Coogler himself admitted he didn't feel safe withdrawing that amount of money in public. I'm surprised so many people don't feel the same courtesy shouldn't extend to the teller. It's disconcerting someone could believe she doesn't have the right to go to work and feel safe. I'm surprised if this is a common transaction that the bank has never told him to conduct those transactions in a private office. That's the real failure in this situation. I cannot understand the desire to beat up on the poor teller in this scenario.
He wasn't worried about taking out that much money. He was worried about saying it out loud and then leaving the building with that much money. Everyone around would know he had $12k cash. Why can't you grasp that? There's was no reason for her to be concerned. Her job is to give people their money. That's it. If you want to blame her manager too, cool. They both fucked up.
Lost in all of this is that the guy next to Coogler was also wearing a hat, mask and glasses, but he’s white so racist assholes like Creighton see nothing wrong with that.
Racist love to use other black folks to mask their racist opinions, stop pretending to give a shit about the teller, what you’re really defending is the police drawing guns on another unarmed black man, racist trash. Creighton
Attempting to make a distinction between these two sentences leads me to believe you're not actually arguing in good faith.
As someone whose distant family member actually committed note jobs I can tell you that they're usually not violent. Note jobs arent met with violence because they're smaller losses. Also a reason banks don't pay security guards in certain areas know that it's far more expensive to pay someone a pension than pay out losses for robberies.
Was she leaving the building with a large amount of cash that everyone in the building would know about? If not, it's irrelevant. You love to go with "you're not arguing in good faith" when you've been made to look like a fool but refuse to admit it.
Trying to figure out the difference in these two guys, why one would be seen as a threat and the other as a guy just taking money out. Just can't put my finger on it.
Nothing in the note suggested a robbery. Nothing. It asked for money from his own account. He showed ID. He used his card and PIN. That’s not a robbery note. He literally checked every box to take money out of his account. He just didn't want to broadcast it out loud and there's nothing in the bank's policy that says he has to.
Are you accusing the teller of being racist? I can't tell if the other guy is wearing sunglasses nor do I know if he passed a note to teller giving directions on the transaction. Nor do I know if the teller served both customers.
dblplay1212 i get that you have good intentions. Maybe give Creighton an idea of what you’re doing behind your gated whitewash community to combat the POC struggle. If there is nothing, then this is a futile discussion. Creighton i don’t know shit about you, but your arguments are dumb and it’s taking a person of privilege into a point of pontification. if both of you could take this shit into private chat, that would be great.
Have we got to the point where dblplay1212 shoesplains that the bank teller is like when you buy air max at kohl’s and try and pretend you have real air max ones, while the director is a Dior air Jordan that someone put in a washing machine and ruined?
He has a point. If you're going to live in the community you live in, it's probably not a good idea to call a young African-American woman a racist.
