Lopez pushed a different individual that had nothing to do with the cameraman. Again the cops in that video were aggressive. Two cops pushed individuals and one threaten to shoot someone “if they took another step” . The guy yelled a lot of bullshit but two cops were actually “physically violent”. Imagine if the guy would have shoved a cop how do you think that would have ended for him? Why is it okay for them to have done that to him?
we have been trained to believe that shoving individuals and threatening to someone for taking a step is appropriate and restrained behavior. The fact that cops didn’t beat the shit out of him shows they are the real victims.

You understand that this is you assigning a motive that you can’t know or prove right? There are multiple reasons they may have left the area. There is nothing that suggests avoiding confrontation was why. On the other hand, why did they show up in numbers in riot gear to a protest? There is only one answer to that.
FWIW the camera man was being an asshole and his short guy insults sucked. I think he could have brought much better material. Just stay back." would have been a better answer, I'll give you that. If he'd raised his gun, that's a completely different scenario.

The video starts with the cameraman saying “no you move back” it’s therefore not difficult for me to assume that cops were being antagonistic before the video begins. That is a major reason why I don’t see them as innocent victims like you seem to.

I mean I think the uniform itself and what it stands for opens you up to beating treated as a threat. Their only purpose is literally to rob you of your freedoms or rights granted to you by these countries laws. Treating them in anything but a hostile manner seems strange to me
Also, there’s a huge difference in showing up to a protest in uniform and showing up in riot gear with military-style weapons and uniforms. You gear up for a fight, then people are expecting you to fight them and ramp up their defenses accordingly. The aggressive tactical gear prompts an aggressive response.
Not in riot gear. Not clearing the streets. Not dictating how people protest. Not in excess numbers. People have the right to protest. They also have a presumption of innocence. Deploying riot gear clad cops preemptively destroys both of those things. How can you not understand that?
