It made it to appeal that qualified immunity doesnt cover raping someone during a wellness check, huh?
No beat cop / traffic cop / etc should have a gun ever bet cops would be huge control advocates if that were the case
Cop doesn't think twice about shooting someone with his tazer, but if someone else gets hold of it (while face down with the cop on his back), he's in such for for his life that he executed the man by calmly shooting him in the back of the head.
Every single time. The hunk of plastic that may or may not still contain one electric shock is undoubtedly a threat to your life while you’re pinning the person to the ground and they couldn’t effectively aim it at your if they wanted to. Might as well be a toddler with a toy tractor.
Boot lickers will say that he gave fair warning and it was self defense. Normal people will say announcing his intent to murder him makes it premeditated.
I had to be really specific with adding dollar general because ‘cop shoots man in back of head’ (a google suggestion, btw) wasn’t able to return the results for this particular shooting in the back of the head.
Sure seems like placing the taser a few inches away from the suspect is one hell of a choice made by a certainly scared for his life officer
This happened about five minutes from my house. There are calls for body cam footage, since people are saying his hands were up when he was shot and killed. There are also calls to stop sending police to mental health issues, though he had a gun. Maybe find out why it’s so goddamn easy for mentally ill people to get guns. https://www.southbendtribune.com/st...man-coquillard-elementary-school/65386956007/
That’s how it is in the UK. Don’t give deadly weapons to newbies and the unproven. Seems like common sense.
Think of it like the Civil Rights era. Federal suits had to be brought to god ole boys who were acquitted because they only hung negroes. Totally separate from State charges. This has real teeth.
Jeez this is some of the worst police work I've seen. Just a complete shitshow. Worth the watch. https://www.netflix.com/us/title/81446276?s=a&trkid=13747225&t=cp&vlang=en&clip=81590483
Literally the first thing they teach you in any fire arms training course, refresher course, advanced course, tactical course, is every gun is loaded until proven otherwise, and never ever point a gun at someone who aren’t planning to kill.
I couldn't find this anywhere so not sure if it's true or not. What is definitely true is he beat up an unarmed and handcuffed black guy in front of his 8 month pregnant girlfriend in 2014. Edit: "Kueng declined to speak at the hearing. Thao, however, took the opportunity to deliver a lengthy sermon, quoting Biblical passages, describing a religious awakening in the Hennepin County Jail and suggesting that prosecutors would be divinely punished for “scheming and lying.” He also quoted passages condemning homosexuality, and warned that “God told me that many people, this nation, will be tested to see who they really belong to.” "
This is very "on brand" for us. They'll institute a policy requiring training for store clerks to detain people in no time to solve this.
Got another one for you. This time a man charged with murder told the cops who really did it, they said they couldn't find anyone matching that name so they ignored it and proceeded, he was found guilty and later executed. Later it was found out that not only did the cops and DA know who he was, he was a confidential informant so that's why they protected him and let the other man stand trial and be executed. He murdered 3 people and was let go each time. https://www.netflix.com/us/title/81452598?s=a&trkid=13747225&t=cp&vlang=en&clip=81490677
