So here’s my dumb question. How hard would it be to equip police with a screen shot of a person? I ask because every blacks person stopped “fits the description” and it would be good to say, show me this person I look like. It’ll never happen but that would be in my top five police reforms.

You could write that same report about 90% of police departments in America, because it just describes what police were created to do.

I have to find the article I read about the origins of “stop resisting”. Cliffs is exactly what you’d except. There was a law that was written that a slave could be killed if he resisted punishment without legal repercussions to the murderer. So a slave owner could say he resisted and I as a result he died and nothing would happen to the killer. It’s literally why they always yell “stop resisting”. TBQH it might not have been slaves but just black people in general. I remember the article mentioning white women so I just don’t remember if it was a law to deal with slaves or black men.
We had a car stolen last night at the car dealership I work at. Thankfully we have GPS and got it back, but the police were pretty much “what can you do” when we asked about catching the person that stole it. It kinda made me think of this thread.
