I hate shaving my head at this point but these will make it fun again for a month. So much nicer than anything I owned for like the last 15 years.
I used to do the razor thing every day but it sucks in the winter and like you said, blades. The pearl recommendation is definitely the closest shave I’ve ever had with an electric. The Phillips one blade thing was decent at first but by like the third shave it’s as sharp as a butter knife and you drop the thing once, it’s done.
I started with Wahl clippers, 0 guard and the shaver is way faster and closer cut (probably obvious). Being able to use it in the shower and the fact it “catches” the hair is very nice.
I went with the gold, battery is really good, starts with the better blades (which you could just buy later). Probably fine with any of them. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0255/0156/4962/files/Pitbull-Comp-Chart-2019.png?v=1614396557 Others may have better suggestions though, didn’t do a ton of research
Have had multiple wahls and other similar brands. Have a self cleaning Phillips I never use. I use Andis T outliner as well with no guard 1-2x a week. Towel over the sink and take it outside to shake off. Close and quick dry shave, and easily the least irritation of anything I’ve used.
Just ordered this, 50% off BaBylissPRO Barberology FX3 Collection https://a.co/d/fM0VgMX It's what my barber uses after a straight razor shave to get an even closer shave He told me to watch on Amazon cause you can catch em for a good deal. And this thread just reminded me to look and it was on sale
What, if anything, do yall use as aftershave on your head? I've never used much of anything, but my wife is suggesting that it will make my head look better and feel better if I use something
I need the spf, not sure how much on the moisturizer https://www.beebald.com/product/bee-bald-smooth-plus-w-spf-30-1-7-fl-oz/
My skull shaver came with 2 bebald lotions. Don’t use them frequently, but i like the post-shave one.
I have yet to try a no guard cut. Usually I go with 0 or 1/2 guard?? I’m not sure what it is but it’s the lowest guard. Does the skullshaver basically go right down to the skin? Not sure I wanna jump into that just quite yet.
Yeah it goes to the skin. I go to the barber for my beard and I let him take a razor to it. That’s only once every 6 weeks or so once my beard needs trimmed. The rest of the time, skullshaver
