I bailed a few weeks ago. I can handle shitty writing but they need to make up for it with gratuitous nudity and they didn’t live up to their end of that deal.
Trying to be righteous on the NCAA, Trump, the anthem, racismn, all in one ep was a little much Quit focusing on a HS kid, extreme sports, and go back to bitches and blow
making the same mistake as Entourage. Too much plot, not enough of what made the show great, Gratuitous partying, drugs, and nudity.
Just a small thing in the scope of all the absurd things that happen on this show but it killed me that no reporters noticed that Ricky was at the Rams press conference and walked out I chuckled audibly
I was confused at that too, what did he sign? Wasn't the guy they introduced also a slot receiver and would presumably be Ricky's replacement?
Yeah. They were talking about switching from RB to slot WR when they were training together. so I dont think it's a given that Ricky signed. And if that was supposed to be the case, just more terrible writing and confusing plot lines ...
At least they are bringing back Russell Brand! So fucking dumb. Just end that whole story. Joe can run something much more appealing to a tv audience
I like Russell Brand, but that was a terrible casting job. Maybe if they were acquiring a music agency or something. He just doesnt fit the bill of a big time action sports CEO, given that he neither looks like a CEO nor an action sports athlete ...
I think i'm officially done with Ballers now that this season has come to an end... People have listed plenty of reason why the show currently sucks so I wont repeat them in this post. It was a fun ride for a couple of season but the last two have been brutal. Good luck to those who continue on with this torture.
So 3 minutes in and Tyreek Hill has caused the Hunt Family to sell the Chiefs which apparently made sense to someone. They are just going for it and I respect how fucking stupid this all will be.
honestly one of the most enjoyable TV shows of our generation so much better than HBO’s other football related programming
I like how the entire show is based in Miami and we are just now learning about Spence's fear of water
I never remember all the outrageous things that have happened on this show, but how the fuck can Spence have enough money to be a majority owner of a fball team?
Just watched and that’s all I could think about. It’s just so dumb at this point. Never mind the PED positive receiver getting another contract instead of getting cut.
I read the episode description on the ATT preview and decided, based on this, that I'm done with the series. Wasn't he barely scraping by in the first part of the series? Like borrowing money from his clients to pay his bills or whatever?
He’s clearly not buying them himself as we see him going to the Anderson’s for the money in the promo
This show is stupid but I love it. It’s a entourage but in the football world instead of the movie world....perfect for me
I obviously watch Ballers and I enjoy it. With that said, at least Entourage had some semblance of plot progression. As others have said, Spencer has gone from worrying about 200K in loans to buying a NFL team in six years with no real explanation to his wealth accumulation outside of a year time jump where he was “retired.”
They specifically said he would be the majority owner. Doesn’t that mean he would have the most money invested?
