Look I'm glad PFT joined barstool because it's introduced me to some pretty funny guys, but to pretend like PFT wasn't already wildly popular and on his own rocket ship before he joined barstool is a pretty dumbass take.
Yeah he had a lot of popularity before barstool, he was on peter kings show, the top ten shit from time to time on nfl network and his blogs were very popular. Same as chaps and trill. Barstool didn’t make these guys

I like Barstool for what it is and don’t try to defend it as highbrow content. There is some nuance/elegance to what they do, but that requires consumption to understand (which most folks just aren’t going to do). Pres on the surface is a caricature; Pres with a little bit of commitment is pure gold. It doesn’t surprise me that most TMBers shoot Barstool down. I enjoy the selective content I consume. Now I wish Liz would just show us her cinnamon ring because everything she puts out is just pure trash. #GoPresGo
Yes. Barstool was paying above market for talent at the time because of the influx of capital. PFT at the time was the hottest commodity on the sports blogging market ... hence his being the first hire of many of post-PC investment barstool.

No. I was in and out of the car but didn't hear them mention anything. They talked about Pup Punk for awhile and it was a treat. A little insight from the pizza maker about how gifted PFT and Rone are and how they go about writing the music. Can't get enough of it.
