Interested to see if it actually pays off. There’s an insane amount of money in the political game, which makes it enticing. But at what cost?

Also, good for Big Cat for calling out the hypocrisy.

 

Hope this is the beginning of the end for Big Cat and PFT at Barstool.

They could name their price to do a show on another platform. Not to mention any other projects they want to work on that wouldn't be weighed down by the baggage that Dave/Barstool bring along.

 

Wonder how Dave and Erika try to spin this. Erika always seems pretty down to earth. I don't know how their partnership is structured, but that's pretty messed up not to let a stake holder know about something like that in a manner that was pretty clearly on purpose.

Well, Big Cat said he signed a 6 year deal sooooooooooo

 

Four things:

1. Interviewing a sitting president, and not being able to turn it down. Ok I get it, but -

2. If Big Cat is telling the truth about no one knowing? Not even him?

3. If you’re interviewing a sitting president, and you believe no matter the person, you don’t turn it down, then I would think the entire staff would be aware of this “big moment.”

4. The fact that no one knew tells me Dave was aware this would be unpopular but went rogue, or people did know about it and they’re just marking themselves safe from not being apart of it.

 

Erika is a huge minihane fan. Says it all, she tries to act cool and down to earth but she’s no different than dave

 

If he’s going that hard on radio, the behind the scenes conversations right now have to be nuclear.

Dave deserves blame, but Erika deserves responsibility, that’s a massive fuck up. I don’t think Dan would hide behind lying about not knowing.

He’s 100% right and it’s exactly what anybody with a brain and not tunnel vision would see clearly.

Big Cat and PFT honestly probably have carte blanche to renegotiate their deals right now. Neither of them may care given the transgression.

The thought of PMT interviewing Biden is cracking me up. Politics aside I would actually be interested in how that would have sounded just because of how different that type of guest would be compared to a Blake Bortles type guest.

 

Having Biden on PMT during a pandemic when nothing is going on sports-wise, and the show frankly hasn't been good, would've been huge.

Dan and especially PFT have to be fucking furious about passing on that opportunity in light of this.

 

Remember when big cat and pft had an ESPN show cancelled because of Dave. Good times

Big Cat has put so much time into building the company and deserves a lot of credit for its growth.

I can definitely see how not being consulted would piss him off to the point he leaves.

If he and PFT leave, others might follow and I can't see Barstool as a destination for funny people ever again if PFT and Big Cat leave.

This should absolutely happen now. They should get Biden on the show next week.

 

What’s interesting to me about Barstool as a whole is they seem to constantly air their dirty laundry/grievances on their platforms. How many other platforms would you see a key employee go after their head boss/ceo on a public show like that? It just feels like the company is going to crack sooner than later, and I think a lot of the key players like Dan/PFT will leave for greener pastures.

 

And Big Cat would go to bat for Dave in most situations.

This is the thing that the plug-their-nosers and no polotiks types don't understand. By nature, politics are real and can and do hurt people (and can and do help people). Not having a view or thinking you don't have a view and then using a megaphone to suggest that's true makes you complicit. Silence is an opinion when lives are at stake.

Acting as a megaphone and pretending you're not is arguably worse than stating the view directly. History don't lie. It can happen here.

Probably someone who listened to their Fauci or Arian Foster interviews and saw that they're capable of having a serious interview while also infusing it with their brand of humor.

 

Big cat pretty quickly diagnosed that third wasn’t an interview but just barstool doing the WH’s bidding for a chummy photo op.

 

PMT made Joe buck likable. They could absolutely do a fluff piece for Biden that gets distributed across all of barstool's platforms. At this point, there's no real reason not to.

Yes, this. To also add to this on what I said last night - I can see agents/publicists of celebrities will be advised to not take interviews with anything related to Barstool because of Trump interview (endorsement).

 

This is a very disappointing move by Dave.

It’ll be extra damning if it comes out that Dave or Erica who voted against having Biden on.

The fact that the founder, and face of the company was the one that interviewed him, and that he just let Trump rattle off his bullshit nonsense on Barstools platform as a campaign move frankly is a bridge too far.

I woke up this morning kinda hoping they did a 5 minute pizza review, and that was it. That everyone was onboard and they’d make a joke or two about sports and move on. Dave gets his ego move, Trump does something “relatable”

Instead they do a full on Fox News puff piece interview. If Big Cat and PFT go, I’d follow them. Dave made his bed a long time ago cozying up to Tucker, but now he can’t get out by doing this move.

I've pretty much unfollowed every stool personality pod and twitter. I haven't been on the blog in over a year. Used to regularly watch rundowns, haven't done that in over a year. So seems like the pageviews are going to TMB.
