For someone who doesn’t consume the content bro sure posts in here a lot. This is one of maybe 5 threads I actively follow on the board and I don’t even post half that much.
I hope portnoy raises a zillion dollars for small businesses. My problem is something he and people like him do where they vilify the federal government’s ability to assist people and businesses in dire situations after supporting people and groups who have spent the last forty years stripping social services and government functionality to deal with dire situations.
Skimming the thread. Was that the post about “reading threads bumped to the top of the board”? Personally I don’t click on threads that I couldn’t give a shit less about. You should try that if you actually don’t care about barstool or consume their content.
Fair enough. I’d believe considering you responded to my post in about 30 seconds. I’d say maybe find something better to do with your time but who am I to judge in a time like this.
I only know wes tegg through this forum but I like the guy and we share similar views on a lot of topics. That being said, this post from Thanksgiving 2018 is one of the funniest in this thread: And to be fair, tegg, there was a time when you were caping up pretty hard.
I was making fun of him for calling MA a white knight for this post: But, sure, I used to spend a lot of time trying to explain and contextualize barstool content. I'll admit that.
If you're kept up with the thread from time to time, Tegg's takes on Barstool have changed as some things with Barstool have changed over the past year. Certainly different than in 2018. I also tend to share his views on most matters and imo he has pretty thought out and measured takes, this topic being one of them

It is funny to see everything Barstool (and greater media) seen as black/white (pun intended). I think portnoy is a disgusting egotistical racist, most of the Barstool culture and fanbase is toxic AF, but enjoy PMT and LCB, and can give them credit for doing a lot of good with the Barstool Fund. It's not always all good or all bad and the white knighting and reverse white knighting sucks. In hindsight this post comes across as too 'both-sides'ism for my liking, but I already typed it out so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah this is me. Most of Barstool I totally ignore, but I really enjoy PMT and Duggs ripping boxes of cards.
