Read somewhere that this is the last update before their 5 week break. If so, I honestly think the game is dead. Killed portal, which in turn has killed this game. I can already tell a huge difference in the waiting times for games, and it almost always puts me in half finished games. It's rare to get put in at the start of a game. You can also tell how low the player count is when you can't stay in a server from game to game, and still see a lot of the same names from game to game.
Portal was the main reason i bought the game. It seemed like the solution to a lot of the issues I had with the game. But it's half baked like the rest of this piece of shit. It's unfortunate. Like I said yesterday, never again. Especially given the rumored direction of the franchise.
I would say generally fine, even with the current weird ass workaround. There's definitely a few times where it has taken awhile to get a match, but not many.
I’ll definitely be going to Xbox only. It didn’t bother me too much at first, but the instant 180 turns are getting annoying.
The ballistic shield is dumber than the wingsuit IMO. Hate it more than any other addition to class system. Or lack there of.
Gunmaster is fun. The maps are buggy though. TTK seems different. But is that because of bloom correction?
I think it is yeah, been using an LMG. Had more kills today in rush matches with the Same gun than your typical 45 breakthrough match. It did seem better at distance for sure.
So, they added 64 player conquest and breakthrough, which isn't bad. I don't think it's anything good either. I'm in the last time camp as well now. They ruined numerous sports games for me, this is no different. Lack of content, games still broken on multiple fronts and the progression is a joke. I've already felt like putting it down, at this rate I don't think I will last until Christmas. Bunch of fucking idiots.
I haven't touched in a week +. Haven't even had the desire to pick it up. Given what I've heard about the future of the franchise this is it for me. EA is officially the worst company in gaming. Even worse than Activision.
Yeah same. I'm not even actively avoiding it, I just have a general disinterest in playing. Been playing Halo instead.
They finally added TDM. Doesn’t feel like previous TDM though. Still it’s a nice way to jump into a quick 5-10 match and fuck with some guns.
I haven't touched the game in a while but saw people bitching that it was nothing but the guy with the sentry gun.
Maybe on TDM, would make sense as they spot you on the mm. Games are insanely quick, but they’ve mixed in some old maps as well which is a nice change.
Yeah it’s definitely prevalent on TDM. Not only does it mark opponents on the map but you can also see them behind walls/objects/etc…
I agree the game is dogshit but I do find myself having fun playing rush though. If they wanted to buy themselves some time and keep the few players they do have , they could easily fix a few small things that would help greatly. You need to get voice chat in the game ASAP. Vehicles need dealt with, you can either have a longer delay in spawn times or make them easier to destroy. I agree they still need to play a part but I'm tired of little birds dominating games cause it takes forever to lock on to one or they can make a few runs and then hide and repair and repeat. Or make the AA have longer range so it rewards players that try to take out vehicles, or let us carry the repair tool and M5. Need modes that have less players, I got out of breakthrough and conquest cause it's way to much chaos with that many people, the maps are too shitty to have that many people on them, there is no flow to the game and there's really no strategy to win besides hoping to just overwhelm a sector at the same time your teammates try, hence the no voice chat sucks ass and hurts this type fo game. Let us play conquest 20 vs 20 where it rewards teams that play together. Get rid of specialist and just go back to the basic 4, I don't care if you want to make it so only certain types can use certain gadgets but this just too much shit to sort through and try and adapt to each match as we go.
I’ve found that I have more fun and less gripes when I run a solo board on the highest difficulty. Vehicles are still silly, but it’s at least playable.
Hopefully when these cunts get back from vacation they'll fix all this bullshit. They need some non or limited vehicle maps. And ffs a little optimization. I tweaked the fuck out of my settings to get over 100 fps to look nice on Lowish settings.

Welp, I tried to give it another go. Played maybe 40 min and then uninstalled. It simply isn't fun. I have played every BF game except 2142, this is the worst initial experience I've had. I'm going back to BFV

Haven't had the urge to play in a month or so. It's kind of telling that they have been back from vacation for a week or so, and haven't updated or communicated. I wouldn't be surprised if they update it occasionally and slowly just let it die.
They legally have to provide 4 “seasons” which I’m sure will consist of silly skins and minimal actual content.
I'm still playing and telling you this to let you know that it's very dead. I play Breakthrough and Conquest and I have done some tests. If I do not have crossplay on, I either can't get into a match (I'd say about 75% of the time). The other 25% I'm playing with and against half the players being AI. I really need to find another game to play. It's honestly just mindless activity to fill time, I'm not even playing that often.
I watched a video today and it shocked me what Hazard Zone was supposed to be. That coupled with how hilariously horrible it was implemented gave me a good chuckle.
Legacy features yay! fix your game The only good I see is Matchmaking preferences hopefully meaning console cross play. They knew the game would flop so they had to force us console peasants into the slaughter.
At no time ever have they got matchmaking correct IMO but that's okay. Just saying from my standpoint when they fuck with this then you end up with extremely unbalanced servers where you either stream roll or get steam rolled. I get your point though.
That scoreboard is still bad. Not separated into teams, no ping, and no deaths. The softies took over dice.
Looking through that patch list and there's nothing meaningful at all. Nothing at all to improve the game. If it's taking this long for the most basic of updates, then something like voice chat coming is a complete pipe dream. On the portal XP limit, Is the new ceiling comparable to regular game modes? I'm not even sure why there is a limit in the first place. Didn't even agree with it originally when it was to stop boosters during the release window, but understood it. With a player count as low as it is now, you'd think they would welcome even the boosters.
