It's weird. On PlayStation you hold L1 and then press the face buttons to change. Triangle for the top attachment, circle for the right attachment and so on. Probably the same on Xbox. I thought it would be d-pad too.
One thing I couldn't figure out is the top scope looks like it can toggle between a rds and the zoomed scope but I couldn't figure out how.
Same, but I only played one game. There was a ton of stuff that I couldn't figure out, actually... like even how to capture stuff. I had fun, though
Who cares? I only say that because it’s always the same shit with betas, people that don’t normally buy the game just play it to shit on it. Mainly people who are bored with COD, which is a game I can’t stand so I’d be more concerned if it was universally loved.
That is true. I've only played two games but so far feels like a Battlefield game with a new paint job. Sure there's some minor differences but so far feels like I expected.
I don’t think it feels like a battlefield game. Movement is way faster and guns feel weak. Doesn’t even have a battle atmosphere considering you’re shooting people that look just like your teammates.
I just don’t enjoy this game for some reason. Looks absolutely beautiful though. Insurgency is much more fun.
The more I play it the more it seems like they are chasing the Warzone crowd. Probably will be cancelling my pre order.
They literally had the blueprint. Make a modern BF3/4, and this is where they landed. There’s a solid market between cod and hardcore fps that could thrive.
Unfortunately this will probably sell incredibly well but I also don't think it will have very good staying power.
Bfv didn’t sell well and I’m not seeing how this game is some big improvement. Maybe the modern genre will do better than ww2, but this beta isn’t moving any needles.
Everybody in this thread needs to spend $40 on Insurgency Sandstorm. Way more fun than COD or BF or Siege.
This and Hell let loose have been great on console. If battlefield could just combine these two styles I’d be satisfied. I was hoping we would get bfv gameplay with a modern setting. BFV could be played with an arcade style or at a slower pace.
How is Hell Let Loose? When I played the beta there was hardly any players and the servers were horrendous
There’s the occasional hiccup when a small area is crowded. Servers have been full with console players whenever I’m on. This is the first game I’ve played on the XSX that felt like a PC game. Love the overall feel of the game and how the flow of the battle is the main theme. Being able to communicate with all the squad leaders and commander is something you don’t see on console and it’s awesome.
That’s why I love Insurgency. When the whole team is on comms and making pushes on the objective is when it gets fun. You also have an observer/commander class that can call in a helo, smoke, artillery. It’s very well done and not really OP if you just stay inside the objective. then you mix in hardcore elements, 1-2 shot kills, insane audio, realistic gun play. most fun I’ve had playing a shooter since BF3 or America’s Army on PC
America’s Amry is spot on for insurgency. I’m not the biggest close quarters/purely urban combat shooter fan, but insurgency’s gunplay and pacing makes it great.
I'm going to get the game regardless. However, makes me wonder if they released it in such a state so people are more understanding when it's again delayed.
I'm not gonna shit on a beta, they're usually buggy as all hell. I'm more concerned with the specialist system in general, just makes it feel a lot less like a Battlefield game. That, and the attachment system is not my favorite, I want to customize my stuff from the menu and not have to switch it up every time I respawn. Played a couple hours last night, and I did have fun though
The hurricane or tornado looks absolutely awesome. That said, I'm really not sure why it's in the game, there is no point.
Do they really expect to grab a portion of the cod/apex fan base with this? Both those games are way better at that style.
Socom 2 was maybe my favorite game all time. I thought it was coolest shit ever, got my network adapter, DSL and we were all lagging like motherfuckers having a great time. I was late to the BF series, but BF1 was similar for me. Loved that game.
Like most games that do this, they chase the crowd they don't have at the expense of the one they do.
Got in my first game last night and immediately died because the parachute wouldn't open. Spawned again, then spent that whole life without being able to move my crosshairs up or down. While I was trying to get that fixed, I watched a vehicle land on the road and half of it disappeared in the ground. After running me over, I was bleeding out and watched a guy ride in literally on top of his open parachute. That was enough battlefield for me. Giving it another chance right now, but even when it is running right I'm really not liking the way it feels. Hopefully I can get used to it. Shouldn't have got my hopes up like I have, I guess Edit: same as everyone else said earlier, bugs in this are expected. The gameplay being shit is worrying.
Would not be the slightest bit upset if they looked at the feedback people are giving from the beta and make the decision to delay it for a while.
I have a 10th gen i5 and a 3060 and it kind of chugs on high at 1080p. Hopefully they fix that There are also some minor but sloppy bugs. My sentry has randomly fallen through the world a few times
