It’s so good. My wife who claims to hate pulled pork and gave me shit all day, even reluctantly admitted it was very good (without the wet sauce). My 12 year old ate a sandwich at midnight.
That’s awesome. I’ve never had pork like that before. I’ll be ordering a few more once some cash flow clears up. I live next to two 80 year old southern women. Tried and true old schoolers, eaten bbq all their lives. They brought friends over the other day so I could explain what cut it was, how I cooked it, etc.
9am and it’s only 5lbs, also making a big breakfast to keep the people (it’s just me and my gf lmbo) happy
This butt is just over 177 internal and been holding about 245 or so on the grate. Debating whether I need to wrap. Fairly smooth thus far though.
Also threw some spares on about 45 min ago because why not. Have a rack of baby’s I’ll do as well, in an hr or 2. I’ve got enough food for way too many ppl.
Just let it ride. It'll stall for a while. That's all the fat rendering and doing what it needs to do
Pulled it off at 200°. Took almost 14 hrs on the dot and it’s resting in the cooler now. Just threw the baby backs on. Will prob wrap the spares shortly and am drinking a ranch water. Will post pics of ribs and shredded pork after while. Cheers gentlemen.

I made pizza on the grill today. I also made corn bread in a skillet. First time doing both. Not bad.
9# butt, rack of spares, rack of baby’s, grilled wings from my brother in law. Wings were charred and really good. My 3 nephews damn near ate all the ribs before I had one. Taste was good, maybe a bit dry cause I tried to keep them warm for a while. I sauced the baby’s with Big Bobs red and the spares with Stubbs sweet heat. Both rubbed with a mix of holy gospel and honey hog. Pork butt was really damn good.
Biggest problem was I passed out after grilling last night so today’s kitchen was a disaster. Had to get that cleaned before grilling today
