    40# bags. I keep a couple next to the smoker in a plastic storage box on my patio and the rest are stacked in my garage. With shipping it ended up being $14/bag.

    I really need to start selling rubs because the frequency in which you guys shell out $5-$10 for a rub that is comprised of $1-$2 in herbs & spices is mind-bottling.

    The ingredients are going to be relatively cheap in rubs, but it’s all about the sales and marketing costs. Additionally, I doubt many of the small guys have their own manufacturing facilities, so they use co-packers which further cut into the margin.
