Ribs and wings today. FIL brought over a random piece of salmon so I guess I'll just throw that on later too
Had two chicken breasts defrosted so I cut them up and stuffed em with sliced jalapeños and cheese I had smoked a few weeks ago, and wrapped em in bacon then coated em in meat church all purpose Now on to the sausage balls
Basically the same as I did below But this time I used regular pork bacon and coated them with meat church rubs doing these at 250 for a little while,, if rhe bacon ain't crisping up, I will crank up over 300
I'm smoking a butt right now and am almost finished with WW2 in Color on Netflix. Just turned 35... fuck
Decided to split into halves and seasoned with Meat Church BBQ rub and basted in a slightly modified billdozer ’s sauce. 1:15 around 350-375
Slightly over done in the flat, falls apart to easy for competition Overall, not a bad effort for the first brisket on this smoker
beef fat ran off of the cutting board, down the cabinet and pooled on the floor the wife didn't think that was as hilarious as I did
The pellet hopper on my Traeger (less than two months old) caught fire and fried the system. Support thinks it’s an unfortunate defect. Have a video call with them tomorrow.
Forgot to take pics, but the Zack Zedalis onion is legit. Only had a yellow onion and no beef bouillon, but instead just did butter and the meat church all purpose seasoning, wrapped in foil and threw it on for 2 hours or so. Nice little side if you randomly have an extra onion.
I do not know what your are fishing for here. I do not watch NFL. Even the super bowl. I don’t care for it. So to me, not impressive at all.
Is it because you stand for the flag and kneel for the cross? (in case it’s not clear this post is in jest)
It is because about 20 years ago, I had the epiphany that I could get a lot more accomplished in my life if I ditched the 4-10 hours a week spent sitting in front of a tv watching NFL teams play. I was never a big NFL fan even before that. For other people that like NFL, good for them. I have never been drawn to it.
you posted your menu in another thread about not caring a bit about the Super Bowl. I was cracking jokes that you weren’t making anything special for the game.
I get not following the NFL on a weekly basis, but the title game isn't worth watching? That seems like some kind of personal rejection. It's a sport that you enjoy being played at the highest level for all the marbles. Feels oddly contrarian.
Only a 3.75lber for the super bowl, actually took way longer than prior, larger butts I’ve done. First time using apple chunks on something other than chicken or turkey and really enjoyed it
Little bit of butter and toasted in a skillet, went with Challah buns as they are the wife’s favorite for basically everything
I fixed it. In what Traeger says is a rare occurance, some of the pellets meshed together and clogged the air holes of the fire box, forcing the flame back into the hopper. I removed the clogged pellets today. Should be good to go. System not fried. It wouldn’t turn on last night as a reaction to the hopper fire.
