Yeah, it just fell off when we were moving it to the back porch, and I haven't put it back on the hook yet.
And pro tip from a guy who made this mistake If it's dripping from the side (or literally anywhere besides the bucket chute thingy) then your drip pan may not be installed right Their customer service is amazing and will answer emails on Sundays in less than an hour, so always feel free to reach out to them if something doesn't seem quite right
Round 2 slightly confused why the one on the right charred that much more than the other. Both have the deflector plates in and put down at the Sam time
That’s what I figured but I don’t want to pull everything off. It looked even when I threw the plates on a few hours ago. Charcoal was built evenly. Things can change though
Charcoal doesn’t burn even in kamados It’s why I’m such a proponent of knowing where your fire is and moving the protein around
Nope. The one on the right doesn’t have sugar and the one on the left does. So probably has to do with the fire location. Every chicken I’ve done has had similar charring, even with different rubs.
i have a smoke tube going. think i may try this method: 200 until stall wrap in butcher paper 250 until probe tender any thoughts on this?
Was kinda going off this https://howtobbqright.com/2020/05/22/pellet-grill-brisket/ Shooting to eat it for dinner tomorrow. It's on now. What temp would you recommend?
This brisket, while still delicious, wasn’t up to the standard of my previous one. The flat was a little tight, and portions of the flat-point transition crumbled under the knife. In-laws loved it, but they might’ve been naive. doggo was waiting patiently for a sample.
Get in car Drive to home depot, Lowes, Walmart, or ace hardware, whichever is closer Buy the big 4 burner on they have, Post pics This isn't that hard
Finished first smoke last week on some ribs. Pellet grill made even my dumbass look good, they were terrific. A modern miracle.
Wait, 297? I was looking at the tabletop one at Lowe’s because it was like 129. For 150 more I could get the big dog? but I’d have to break my wal mart boycott. Damn.
I would think the burners would need to be replaced due to the difference in sizes in the gas. I believe any time you convert a propane grill to NG you have to change out the burners. But otherwise I have no idea.
Meal prepping for the week. Anyone ever do asparagus in the smoker? I usually do it on the grill or in a pan. Was going to cook some asparagus today while I cooked the chicken. Forgot to “subtly” place the Meat Church Holy Gospel. texasraider
Normally it’s an orifice (at least on the Weber’s) if this is the same it’s really easy, that’s why I’m curious.
I prefer asparagus roasted over grilled or smoked. Last time I did it I felt like it was too smoky even though I just grilled it.
Oh also, anyone ever try and wash your grill grates in the dishwasher? If you haven’t, give it a try, your wife will love you for it. I had a couple beers and tried it. Spoiler alert. Don’t do it. I had to clean every dish with a degreaser and run the dishwasher five or six times to get all the grease out. Fun times. Side note. I am an idiot.
I will run grill grates, smoker grates etc. right before I intend to run a dishwasher clean cycle. Make sure you pull out the silverware caddy and anything else plastic. I also would only do this if the dishwasher has a stainless tub.
